“Had a tasty lunch here while on a visit to the house to see the Christmas displays. Located in the former stables, this cafe was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas, and there was also a marquee in the courtyard and some outside tables. It can get very busy here with people queuing out of the door, but I got here early and the service was quick. I ordered and paid for my meal at the counter, and the food was brought to my table. The menu offered a small but tempting selection of sandwiches, soup, jacket potatoes and homemade cooked meals, with many of the ingredients sourced from the Harewood estate. There was also a children's menu. I opted for the chestnut mushroom and bean chilli served with rice. It was medium spicy, well cooked and nicely presented. The pot of tea was hot and fresh. Prices were reasonable (card payment only). Enjoyed the food so much that I returned later in the afternoon to buy a tuna crunch bap and a spiced muffin to take home. The staff were both helpful and friendly.”

I have spent a long time in management and how people should treat customers. Great service and attitude. 10/10.”

I had got home after my coffee and realised I’d left my wallet at the street lane cafe, after a mad dash back, the staff told me they had kept it safe in the office safe for me! Absolute angels, saved me so much hassle and worry, I wish all staff I visited had those principles and behaviours!!”
