“A nice little cafe right next to the entrance of Beacon Hill Park, if you enter through the lower car park. There are a few seats inside and some on the porch area, but we really enjoyed sitting on the benches on the grass. It was a great day so it was pretty good to sit in the great outdoors as close to nature as we can while enjoying our lunch”

“Brilliant food, the baristas there are lovely- and the food and drinks are delicious. You get exactly what you order and it's all delicious! They have beautiful christmas decorations and plenty of space. It's also accessible and dog friendly.”

“Nice cosy cafe place at the heart of Abbey Park, Leicester. Prices are reasonable. Carrot cake was really tasty. Scones were super fresh. They even serve samosas which was quite suprising. Moreover it is right next to historical ruins and river banks. Loved the atmosphere and I highly recommend this place. Nice stopover after a long walk in the park”

“What a fab find! A great cafe with a lovely sunny courtyard out the back. Some delicious cakes (including gluten free) and a flavoursome coffee. The breakfast menu looked good (as did the sandwiches) but not time to stop for that today. Attentive and efficient staff - we will definitely be back :-)”

“An integral pillar of Leicester’s food scene. Unrivalled value, portions, flavour, atmosphere and people, this place has stood the test of time and gives the St Martins area its buzz. Clearly a thought out restaurant it has an ethos and relaxed nature and the experience is nailed every time, I’m content, sated and can’t wait to come back again. Coffee is superb as well, pork belly bites in particular are worth getting. We often do not book as there is a lot of space but Saturdays for 4 or more could be busier. For breakfast brunch lunch or dinner, this is the place.”

“Staff were friendly and helpful as were the guys that delivered the goods. The quality of the Dining Chairs and Divan Bed Set are really good we are very pleased with the whole experience. To top it all it was one of our local High Street stores.”

“I recently visited this café with my husband, and we both ordered the English breakfast with karak tea. It was absolutely amazing! Everything was delicious and freshly made. “One of the best breakfasts in Leicester. They don't skimp on produce, always good quality. I love the scrambled or poached eggs on proper thick cut bread. It's recently changed ownership but for me it's exactly as it was before. Perfect!”

“Pennbury has a lovely cheerful vibe and is a great place for food and drinks. There is a dog friendly area inside which is appreciated on a cold day! I mainly visit to have coffees which are always hot and served quickly. When I have eaten the portion sizes are good, the food very tasty and always presented nicely on the plate. All the staff are friendly and polite and Amy does a great job in making you feel welcome when you arrive. Feel very lucky to have Pennbury so close by and would definitely recommend as a great place for food and drink.”

“The best hamsalads In town. Im very particular with my food and each time when I order in specific with what I would like in my order. I can't rate this place enough. “Always enjoy a nice lunch here after a walk around bradgate park. Variety of choice on menu. Always a good selection of fresh cakes. Dogs are welcome and treats are avaliable for them at the counter.”

“We were looking for a nice atmospheric restaurant and had heard good things about Maurizio's. This place absolutely did not disappoint, the food was superb! Lasagne, pizza with forest mushrooms + the Baba dessert, all gorgeous. The best Italian food in Leicester by far. I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant, cozy and welcoming with great service.”

“Return visit to the northern cobbler roasters, after a moderately adequate visit a few months ago. Me and my friend decided to try again last Sunday and we was pleasantly surprised we grabbed a quick coffee and a bite to eat! The service was lovely quick and efficient. The lady who served us was so attentive and the service was brilliant! I had a caramel latte and it was Devine after being out in the cold, but the mushrooms on toast was so good, great flavor, perfect portion size and presented lovely! We had a really lovely visit and will be back! Thank you for restoring faith”

“I visit Nero Cafe, once a week just for their amazing hot chocolate , it’s the best I’ve had anywhere! The chocolate fudge cake is a perfect treat too. Cozy atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommend!”

My full English was so tasty, not greasy and excellent value for money. The place is light, airy and spotlessly clean. The lady who served us was friendly and efficient . “This place is next to the pub and offer a different menu with tea , coffee and afternoon tea available with preseco as well as good selection of light bites. We have there meat platter which was large and tasty and also their goat cheese salad which my wife said was delicious. Seating in, and out perfect for a Sunday afternoon.”
