“If you love coffee you have to try Leicester coffee house! They roast their own beans and use good milk and you can really tell it's good quality coffee. The baked goods are also lovely, my daughter loved the vegan choc cake and I love the carrot cake. We moved to Leic from London which had some great coffees and searched for ages for a decent coffee shop here and this has to be the best we've had! I just wish we lived closer so we could get it more often :D”

“We enjoyed a lovely breakfast today at Malt Mill Coffee and Bakery. The coffee was perfect strength and temperature with extra special touches of grated chocolate on the top. The breakfast burger was 10/10 with a delicious homemade burger patty and perfectly cooked eggs. I myself felt like something a little lighter and I was very impressed by the homemade marmalade on sour dough. We enjoyed the warm homely environment with plenty of beautiful antique posters and mood music. A beautiful was for some Aussie travellers to start their day. Thankyou so much . “An integral pillar of Leicester’s food scene. Unrivalled value, portions, flavour, atmosphere and people, this place has stood the test of time and gives the St Martins area its buzz. Clearly a thought out restaurant it has an ethos and relaxed nature and the experience is nailed every time, I’m content, sated and can’t wait to come back again. Coffee is superb as well, pork belly bites in particular are worth getting. We often do not book as there is a lot of space but Saturdays for 4 or more could be busier. For breakfast brunch lunch or dinner, this is the place.”

“Excellent coffee and relaxing atmosphere. Very nice cosy basement for hiding away and getting through work. Perfect for professionals and postgrads. There can be a fair wait at busy times in the morning and lunch. They do a fantastic bacon and brie toastie!”

“As a fellow barista and head barista, this is my favourite coffee shop up and down the country. The staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable of their products. They work hard and make every visit an absolute delight at such an inclusive establishment. Coffees are always the highest of quality beans from the most prolific roasters around today. And with multiple options on both espresso and filter, always regularly changing, there’s always something new and insane to try with each visit I’m able to. Retail shelf always selling beans from fantastic roasters, along with equipment and tools for brewing at home, as well as many other cups, travel mugs, and different beverages too from the fridge. Co-working space is exactly what it says it is; a space to work, with which other people are able to work too. There is a minimum spend for it which is to be expected, or an all day charge which would work out cheaper for longer visits. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough, will continue regularly frequenting this incredible coffee shop and their drinking the insane coffees they produce.”

“A charming and delightful coffee shop that only accepts credit card payments. They serve your orders directly to your table. The staff is friendly and welcoming. However, due to a small team, orders may take a bit longer when the place gets busy. We only tried the hot chocolate, which was delicious and quite impressive. Overall, it’s a well-run establishment with seating available both indoors and outdoors.”

“Everything exceeded our expectations. Creatively and assiduously thought out dishes, executed to a flavourful and punchy delivery. The kimchi, tuna and Red Leicester / mozzarella sourdough toastie was flavour combination my tastebuds were delighted to experience! The salad maple and mustard dressing was delicious too. All ingredients are fresh, grown on site or sourced locally from the market and local suppliers like butchers and bakers, and their quality is reflected in their superb taste. I can’t recommend this place enough; it’s clear that there’s a passion for and curiosity about food as there is mastery for culinary execution . Very generous portion sizes. Excellent service.”

“Return visit to the northern cobbler roasters, after a moderately adequate visit a few months ago. Me and my friend decided to try again last Sunday and we was pleasantly surprised we grabbed a quick coffee and a bite to eat! The service was lovely quick and efficient. The lady who served us was so attentive and the service was brilliant! I had a caramel latte and it was Devine after being out in the cold, but the mushrooms on toast was so good, great flavor, perfect portion size and presented lovely! We had a really lovely visit and will be back! Thank you for restoring faith”

“Despite being a student in Leicester for three years and living a five minute walk away from this Starbucks, I never visited until last week for a takeaway drink. The atmosphere was really calm, so I thought it would be nice to come back and study. Today I went to study there for my last ever exam (Tuesday) and I am so sad I never visited before. I was there for around four hours and the staff were so friendly. One of them even reccomended I try a white chocolate matcha which I wouldn't have even thought of if she hadn't said (and it turned out to be delicious!!!) I really enjoyed my afternoon here! Would reccomend if you need a quiet workspace with a calm and friendly atmosphere.”

“We eat here regularly. It did change hands and we stopped going in but it is now under excellent management. It is a relaxed informal establishment for families and friends. Their vegetarian breakfasts are so good, freshly cooked, appealingly presented with generous helpings. Coffee Bean provides 'homemade' meals/food rather than coffee and microwaved snacks. We can fully recommend Coffee Bean.”
