“Amazing. We have been blown away by Half Pints. The staff were brilliant and demonstrate a great interest in child development. Half Pints puts vocation and care before business. Half Pints child provision and education is second to none. They really do care and invest a huge effort in each child as an individual. They really do get to know and understand their children as if the children are their own. Each day ends with parental a mini debrief in what your child has been up to and its all evidenced with a password protected pictorial website. Sadly our time with them has come to an end. And what an end! A graduation day with all the bells and whistles. Held conveniently on a Saturday - and i am sure this is purely voluntary as there cannot be any funding available - an entirely free half day of certificate presentation, bouncy castle, lunch (for adults too!) cake (made by talented staff), a choreographed dance routine on a makeshift stage and more! All held under a gazebo in their garden, accompained by generous amount of fizz. Greeted by a red carpet, parents sat under gazebo awaiting the show, munching popcorn - served by the children - and sipping proseco - served by a volunteer. Each child was introduced with a wonderfuly written speech, individually tailored to reflect that childs personality and acheivements at Half Pints, and an educated guess at each child's future aspirations - only adults that have really got to know the children could have done this so well. Some tears were shed, but that was okay as tissues, presented in hand crafted superhero figures, were issued very sweetly, by the children, prior to the presentation. The event was superhero themed - as chosen by the children - and wonderfully decorated by the children and staff. Then lunch were the children sat with each other, waited on by staff while the adults were treated to nibbles and a poster presentations that captured the personality and activities of each child during their time at Half Pints. After Lunch and pudding came a very special cake that was so professional they mustve paid a forture to some cake shop - nope; home-made by one of the tlaented staff members. If all that wasnt enough (and I stress there cannot be any funding for any of this so it must be all paid for by them and voluntary) the children were waived off with tears of staff that care and a goodie bag reminder. The amount of effort put into this was more than incredible, and is a reflection of how much the staff of Half Pints really love the children in their charge. A day of razzle dazzle! And Im sure its something that each of those children will be able to look back on with great fondness. They have been given the best foundation possible, enabling them all to start big school with confidence, and i submit, more than an edge over new school mates who were not so fortunte to attend Half Pints. Big school has a lot to live up to! We will miss them, and hold just a little pang of jealousy for their lucky new arrivals. Thankyou :)”
