“First time I've been in here unfortunately at a funeral never been in before but would recommend it as somewhere to go if you are a couple single or a person who wants to play pub games ie darts pool snooker or bowls wish the club was near me .If you are a real ale drinker try the Wainwrights probably the best I've ever had it was poured like a Guinness absolutely beautiful”

“I went there for my two Covid 19 jabs. I was very impressed by the most excellent system in place there. I felt safe and the staff both medical and civilian were most helpful. Anybody not yet been there but waiting for an appointment, have no fears, your health and well-being is of paramount importance to all the people there.”

“A great venue for quiet drinks and big functions alike. The function room is free to hire and is ideal for a wide variety of functions, including christenings, weddings, birthday parties and funerals. The lounge upstairs always shows sports and the bar has a well stocked range of gin!”

“We hired the lounge for my mum's wake as it is a lovely room & a perfect setting for the occasion. Maureen is a loverly lady & she organised it all for me including the buffet which was absolutely outstanding with plenty for everyone including a variety of sandwiches, wraps, barms, quiche, sausage rolls, pork pies, chicken drumsticks, a really great finger buffet & all was beautifully presented & we all ended up staying there till early evening as it was so elaxing.”

“I recently attended one of their tribute evenings which was George Michael and we had such an amazing night dancing and enjoying the feel-good atmosphere in such smart and luxurious surroundings! The act was a fantastic tribute to George Michael, his moves and voice were so like him. All of the staff were really friendly and attentive and made us feel really special. First time I’d been there and will definitely be returning! I enjoyed a cocktail and a bottle of house white perfectly served in an ice bucket. I didn’t have any food so can’t comment but I’ve heard the charcuterie and cheese boards are really tasty. Thumbs up for The Grand for a great night out!”

“Went for Sunday dinner with my friend last week. The place was extremely busy but was found a table almost immediately. Was served at the bar and carvery quickly and efficiency. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Special shout out to Vicky for great service, who seemed to be everywhere! Also to Suzy who went out of her way to bring us such a lovely Christmas Pud, and her daughter in the kitchen who apparently made it up for us, as we were a bit fussy. Thank you all.”

“Stopped by today initially just for a drink but ended up having a small carvery with my dad & daughter. Food was good, fresh turkey brought out and friendly guy behind the servery. But the staff member who needs the upmost praise is Sam. She was friendly as soon as we walked in, her customer service skills and attention were amazing. She truly is a credit to your team and deserves a reward. I'll be back to eat and drop some books off for your Macmillan charity trolley which I think is a great idea. Well done Sam you made us feel so welcome, id had a really rubbish day and you cheered me up.”

“sick little gaff to be honest. i haven't been clubbing or anything like that much before so i have nothing to compare it too but it's free entry, staff are lovely, people there are surprisingly nice, good deals and the whole vibe is positive. my only nitpick is sometimes the songs played can be a bit eh, but that all comes down to personal preference and if you know them. i heard bad things about PJs prior to going but not had any bad experiences so far. deffo worth a visit if you looking for something to do on a night out!”
