As an anxious patient I had avoided the dentist for over a decade prior to reading about this surgery, my teeth were in an awful condition, I had trouble eating and I was constantly aware of how I looked when I smiled and spoke to people. My treatment (which was major) was completed in just four appointments, - both a huge and welcome surprise for me, that something I had been dreaming about for so many years could be achieved in such a short amount of time. Admittedly they were long appointments, but I was always reassured by how comfortable I felt both during and after my treatments. In the couple of months since my dental work has been completed, I feel like I have gained a new lease of life. I have been out for steak dinners, posed for photographs with my mouth open and every time I see a flash of myself as I’m passing a mirror, I am amazed by my own reflection. “I first discovered Rikyu when I was given a hot stone massage as a gift. The atmosphere, tucked away on a mainly residential street feels like a Japanese oasis or a secret hideaway in North London. It is serene with a simple Japanese decor. Since only one customer can be treated at a time it feels safe, which for me is currently very important. The stone massage was amazing and I actually fell asleep. I've since been back and had an equally amazing Hawaiian massage. The treatment on both occasions was way above the quality of massages I've had at other places.”

It was my first visit to the Purley Salon and I was impressed with the set up. I've always been worried about people touching my eyebrows, but Anu created such calmness in the room. She reassured me through her body language, her approach and professionalism that I was in good hands- I definitely was! Anu remained calm and didn't rush at all when threading my eyebrows. “After much deliberation over my steadily declining eyebrows, i did some research and saw some really good reviews for Nicole. I booked a consultation and was impressed how professional her home set up is. I felt listened to and she walked me through everything i had any reservations about. I went in for my first appointment which took a little under 3 hours. Nicole painstakingly mapped my brow shape, drew them on and from there we tweaked it to a shape i was happy with. The tattooing machine itself was not painful, more a little grating towards the ens. Once the outline was completed Nicole popped some numbing gel on so i didn't feel anything in the main. Upong completion, we had a look together, added a couple of bits where we agreed it was necessary. Then she talked me through the aftercare. I have a top up appointment coming up which is included in the 1st appt costs. I have been thrilled with how well they have turned out and i have had so many complementa on how natural they look. This is exactly what i wanted to achieve. I can't recommend Nicole enough Pictures added to show one day after and 2 weeks later”

“Sevil is an amazing hairdresser. I had a great experience getting my hair cut here on 26th July. My hair is fine and the ends were becoming uneven and dry. I want to grow my hair out so I was worried that it would get cut too much, but Sevil was amazing. She checked with me at least 3 times if I was happy with the length she was going to cut off, which reassured me and she didn’t cut any more than she showed. She knows how to work with fine hair and she blow dried my hair so nicely with a lot of volume. I am really happy I got my hair cut here and definitely will be back.”

Yvonne is a master or colour, even when it’s growing out it still looks natural, and Debbie couldn’t give a bad cut if she tried, she’s also great with tips on how to manage your hair at home. Yvonne and Debbie are also really good company and conversation flows easily. I don’t know the rest of the staff so well but everyone is polite and friendly. I always get nice compliments about my hair after a visit to Butler & Lawler and can highly recommend the salon.”
