Authentic dining experience in Brentwood

“Where do you start when you have a lovely restaurant and the most patient and accommodating staff. Every special request was catered for by the most attentive staff who looked after our family of 15 for lunch. The staff are so kind and friendly they create a perfect atmosphere for celebration. Last but not least the food is delicious; the chefs really know their trade. They serve great portion size at such reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you all.”

“Dined on a Saturday evening but hadn't made a reservation, therefore not much choice in seating, but got a table at the front of the restaurant. Looked to be a larger dining area further in. Staff were very attentive and answered questions about the dishes. Great menu with lots of choice. I ate from the festive set menu, which has plenty of choice. The 2 chillies by the Chilli Chicken stir-fry are warranted, my mouth was on fire by the end of the dish! I'd certainly visit again, but would try something different next time.”

“We turned up with no booking on Father’s Day. We were seated promptly and our drinks order was taken. My son has an allergy and upon taking our order they asked lots of questions and made sure I read through the ingredients list before the order was put through. When then ordered to breakfasts with some alternatives and a porridge bowl with fruit. My son’s order turned up first with a green flag to show he had the allergy. Then porridge was so tasty and the breakfast came up hot, and hot plates just to their order. Our meal was lovely, the waitress were kind, and happy. They meal checked us and plates were taken swiftly when we had finished. Well worth a visit, we would right recommend.”

“Great experience, the restaurant has a very classy feel and we were welcomed very warmly by staff. We opted for the surf and turf share platter which was out of this world, the meat was top quality and cooked to perfection, the platter also coming with a range of sides to completment the vast meat selection! Beer and wine was excellent and the atmosphere was good even though it was quite an early Wednesday dinner sitting. Highly recommend Turkish in Essex and I shall definitely be returning to the fat turk !”

“Lovely gastro pub. They do some good mid week offers, but one main meal, get another free. Two cocktails for £16. Had the chicken skewers starter , very nice. And rump steak main, again nice. And chocolate bomb dessert. Wished we had ordered onion rings, as they looked fab. Our server, dark haired lad, was great, very friendly and great service.”

“I’ve been ordering from this Chinese takeaway for over 5 years, and it’s hands down the best in the area. The food is consistently fresh, full of flavour, and always hits the spot. My absolute favourite is the Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style, crispy, tangy, and just the right balance of sweet and savoury. It’s honestly the best version I’ve ever had! I’ve tried other places over the years, but nothing compares. The batter is always light and crispy, the chicken is tender, and the sauce is just perfection. After 5 years of ordering, I can confidently say this place has never let me down. Moving area soon and this place will be a big miss!”

“We have been here a few times and always return for our wedding anniversary. This year was the first year we brought out 1 year old son with us and the staff were so brilliant with him. They got the table all set up before we arrived which was just a lovely touch - usually I'm having to run around trying to find a high chair. Kalia was our waitress and right from the start she was so warm and welcoming. She waved to our son and made him smile, and she showed us the vast array of children's toys and books they had available to entertain him with! I've never experienced such thoughtfulness for children at a restaurant before. The food was brilliant as always. At one point we even thought to ask if our son's meals were actually from the kid's menu because the portion sizes were so good! My husband had the ribs which he says are incredible every time, and I had the vegetable ravioli which tasted really fresh. We will continue to return here for our anniversary, and I'm sure we will make a few more trips throughout the year too! Thank you for the lovely food and for making us feel so comfortable with a young child.”

“We had our Christmas Dinner at Masons this year and it was perfect. The food, drink and service was spot on. The pianist set a great atmosphere in the well decorated and newly renovated restaurant. “This is, by far, the best Thai food served in the local area for authenticity. I had the pad grapao, which in restaurants in the UK is normally very different from Thai style. But this dish was 100% authentic and I could have very easily been in a restaurant in Chiang Rai. Very friendly staff with the permanent 'Thai smile' and good conversation. We will definitely be coming back.”
