“Took my Merc C class for a brake disc & pads change today at the garage. Anees was prompt in responses over the phone and gave me a reasonable quote for the work. I had my doubts initially but all the 5 star reviews gave me some confidence and I decided it was worth taking a chance. After dropping the car at the garage, I was kept updated with photos of the parts & videos while the work was being done. I was contacted as soon as the car was ready unlike some other garages where I've had to follow up to find the status of the work. I went to pick my car up and noticed I still had these horrible hard water stains stuck on my windscreen, due to an accident earlier in the year. “Took my beloved 07 Honda accord there. First of all I called and he slotted me when I needed an emergency. No faffing around, quoted me fairly and did good work. Issue I had was a seized caliper. He also sorted my mot out. I always leave the garage knowing he’s taken care of my car like he would do to his own. That itself means a lot. I guess it’s peace of mind, and these days it’s difficult to find with garages. “I've recently moved to the area and as there are so many MOT garages, I wasn't sure where to go so I took a gamble on Chequers and what a brilliant choice I made. As a female, I'm not 100% with cars but I'm no newbie either and have been to many places who have tried me but Chequers, a lovely family owned business, took care of my car and thoroughly checked it over. Not only did they provide excellent service which took no more than 20 minutes or so, they even offered me information for the best garages around if any repairs are needed at low prices! Best of all, I was talking about how I needed a new clutch and how much money it'll cost me and they provided more info which in turn saved me well over £400-500 estimated on a new clutch!!! “I go to General Auto’s regularly for my MOTs and servicing and they always deliver to an excellent standard. Recently went to have my clutch replaced in my car and the turnaround and advice they gave me was second to none. Also recently had my light bulbs in my car replaced and they were able to fix it and point out that the holder was snapped off which is why the light couldn’t be secured properly into place and offered me a solution (something all other mechanics and Halfords I’ve went to have missed!)”
