We were a few mins late which was no trouble for owner Philip who greeted us with a warm smile. I wasn't drinking and he made us the most exquisite mocktails. We shared scallops and green lentils and a chicken tagine with couscous and since it was January, just poured over the dessert menu, vowing to return when we were keen to satisfy our sweet tooth. If there's one restaurant you try in the Balham, Wandsworth, Tooting area, try L'Atelier on Trinity Road - the vibe as soon as you step in is so chilled and Philip and Mona (who I later had the pleasure to learn is the Chef and Philip's wife) are the loveliest hosts. It's like we were transported to a little piece of Moroccan heaven for a couple of hours.”
