“Another great meal at Bartellas. Love this place! We ordered some olives which were delicious and a generous portion and a bottle of Picpoul de Pinet which was excellent. I had a lunch of chicken saltimbocca with mushroom sauce and garlic potatoes, my friend had an amazing burger and we shared a side of spinach. We had tea and coffee afterwards. The staff are excellent as was the service and friendliness of our fabulous waitress, Vendi. Well done team!”

“We stopped off here whilst travelling to Kent. I found the pub by searching dog friendly pubs on Google. We didn't book, we arrived on a busy Saturday lunchtime, and they had a table for me, my husband, and 2 dogs. The food was delicious! we both had burgers. Would definitely visit again if I was travelling past.”

“Great spacious room, deeply clean, extremely quiet (only 4 rooms), definitely efficient double glazed windows. Hot shower, comfy bed and all new from carpet to linen and towels. The owner ROB and one of the cleaner went the super extra mile to look for my lost AirPods. They even looked in the laundry rooms and he was even willing to look in the big communal bins. What a legend!!!! Thx again x Lovely also the friendly lady (maybe an other owner) who checkout us out even if passed the time, as late. There are property meeting down the pub for Samuel Leeds inner circle. Definitely, this place will be always on our list for the guests or speakers.”

“For work purposes, I've stayed on and off at this hotel for 28 years. Always found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and beds and bedding very comfortable. Food has never been anything but good and there's never been a problem pre-ordering whilst I visit the small gym. Access to the hotel is easy from the A2 but road noise is minimal and there's plenty of parking. My go to hotel when I'm working in this area - far better than a identikit chain.”

“I organised a night at Blake’s for my partners birthday and we had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly, fun and always made sure we were okay. Our mixers were constantly topped up and we had our own waitress who we asked if we needed anything. I have also been back to Blake’s on a ‘normal night’ and it was just as fun, with friendly professional staff and a great atmosphere.”

“A lovely team greeted us at the Clarendon, we only stayed for one night. But will be back to use a hub to visit the surrounding areas. The rooms were fine and decent, one of the strongest showers too. They have a bar here, which is brilliant priced. A car park and garden area by the river were also a nice point.”

“We ate here whilst staying up the road for a friends wedding. Nice old school pub with a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is separate to the bar. The staff take you to the table and explain the QR code App system, which is the norm now days but very easy to use. We had a mixed grill, curry and Hunters chicken. All the food was excellent , hot and decent portions. Very reasonable prices too! We were pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend”

Just to be aware that the location of it can be a puzzle itself so if you’re not aware of the area, look on their website for instructions as the map does not take you directly to the unit. “Excellent facilities for the price. I have paid a lot more for a lot less in other guests houses. Good t.v. good shower comfortable bed; 500ml of fresh milk given on arrival and a decent size fridge to keep it in and a selection of breakfast cereals in the room. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.”
