“Great hotel for stop over if traveling to ferries Eurostar. Always good for great staff and although yes it is old building so I don’t expect top notch rooms but they are kept spotless. Lots of free parking but remember to register when you arrive. They don’t do food or drink here but there is a bar next door that does and Nell’s cafe up road for amazing American themed breakfast”

“We came for the Christmas doggy afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. Each dog had their own tower of homemade goodies and even a toy each. The offerings for the humans was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was delightful. Definitely recommend”

From the moment I arrived, their service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, understanding, and respectful, which made a huge difference in helping me feel at ease. The building itself is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. You can tell they really care about the comfort and experience of their guests. Unlike many standard hotels, Jassamine Guest House offers a more personal and calming atmosphere. The environment felt safe, quiet, and welcoming — which is especially important for people like me who may be sensitive to noise and overwhelming spaces. Another great point is the pricing. Not only are their rates very reasonable, but they often beat regular hotel prices, making it a much better option in terms of both value and experience. I highly recommend Jassamine Guest House to anyone — whether you're neurodivergent or not. It's a wonderful place that truly stands out.”

8 The Jolly Drayman Pub and Hotel
“Great spacious room, deeply clean, extremely quiet (only 4 rooms), definitely efficient double glazed windows. Hot shower, comfy bed and all new from carpet to linen and towels. The owner ROB and one of the cleaner went the super extra mile to look for my lost AirPods. They even looked in the laundry rooms and he was even willing to look in the big communal bins. What a legend!!!! Thx again x Lovely also the friendly lady (maybe an other owner) who checkout us out even if passed the time, as late. There are property meeting down the pub for Samuel Leeds inner circle. Definitely, this place will be always on our list for the guests or speakers.”

“For work purposes, I've stayed on and off at this hotel for 28 years. Always found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and beds and bedding very comfortable. Food has never been anything but good and there's never been a problem pre-ordering whilst I visit the small gym. Access to the hotel is easy from the A2 but road noise is minimal and there's plenty of parking. My go to hotel when I'm working in this area - far better than a identikit chain.”

“A lovely team greeted us at the Clarendon, we only stayed for one night. But will be back to use a hub to visit the surrounding areas. The rooms were fine and decent, one of the strongest showers too. They have a bar here, which is brilliant priced. A car park and garden area by the river were also a nice point.”

“We visited the Granby Hotel last night (04.12.21) for a meal. After parking in the Granby’s dedicated parking to the rear, we proceeded to the dinning room and was greeted by the front of house. After being taken to our table we were serviced by very friendly staff. The ambiance in the room is very tranquil. We had starters, main course and desserts. Each course was truly a 10/10. The chef is truly amazing! We will be returning!”

“Excellent facilities for the price. I have paid a lot more for a lot less in other guests houses. Good t.v. good shower comfortable bed; 500ml of fresh milk given on arrival and a decent size fridge to keep it in and a selection of breakfast cereals in the room. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.”
