“Phenomenal cafe. The location is excellent, the staff lovely, and the coffee exceptional. The cafe also has great merch which is worth grabbing to show your support for an awesome small, local independent business. Highly recommended, particularly for a weekend stroll or if wanting somewhere to stop for a tasty coffee after/during a long run or cycle”
“My son has just been to a birthday party at Fuzzy's Farm. I can't recommend enough both this venue and the staff. An excellent couple of hours with my son, now an extremely happy boy.”
“We had an amazing stay at Home Farm. Facilities are amazing and all very clean. Love the barn, great for socialising. Beautiful location with the forest and fields. We had a lady come in to do wine tasting one afternoon which I would definitely recommend.. Would love to come back with the dogs one day.”
“Took the caravans back again, location is perfect, no need for an alarm as the parakeets will wake you up in a happy way. The staff are all awesome and friendly. London so near with the Elizabeth line.”
“Originally chose this site for its great location near the station into central London, but it turned out to be a fantastic place in its own right. The staff were genuinely friendly, the facilities spotless, and the surrounding wildlife made it feel peaceful and scenic. Would definitely stay again.”
“We did a team away day here from my organisation and it was the best ever. Getting to build make, repair and be involved with such a great charity was amazing. The food for lunch was brilliant and fresh. I would 100% recommend for a team away day, it was the best one we have had”
“A wonderfully secluded well kept hostel - ideal for a weekend away with 14 friends (as long as you're prepared for dormitory sleeping!!). We'd thoroughly recommend for a group of friends who enjoy the outdoors and don't mind a walk and a bit of mud! I walked there from Box Hill and Westhumble station - very pleasant 1hr stroll.”
“Fantastic site with a lovely fishing lake, good size plots and staff are reallly helpful, only downside is WiFi isn’t great. Toilets and showers very clean.”
“We have been all over the UK over the past 8 years & this site is up there with the best. Such friendly staff(very important to us) the facilities are second to none, you just have no idea you are so close to London. Already rebooked for July.”
“I cannot recommend this place enough! Lovely place, clean facilities and the staff all lovely, polite and went above and beyond for us! We celebrated my Son's 16th birthday here and each and every aspect was superb! All staff were so friendly and welcoming. The BBQ cabin was the icing on the cake and had been decorated for us on arrival! Nothing was too much trouble. I 100% recommend visiting. We will definitely be back!”
“An ideal campsite if you want to visit London without an expensive hotel stay. A short Uber ride into West Drayton where you can get a train or underground straight into the city. If London isn’t your bag then you can walk into Dunham (downhill but uphill on the way back) where the is a selection of eateries and shops. Closer to the site is a small airfield where there is the Biggles restaurant as well as a cafe.”
“This is a first class c&c site next to the River Thames. Good size pitches and cater for all types of camping with or without electric. Modern facility block. Site managers friendly and very helpful.”
“We chose to stay here for a weekend in the ready tents. The glamping tents were well equipped with fridge, hob, kettle, toaster etc. It also had bunk beds and a double bed perfect for family of 4 or 5. The sleeping areas were great with blackout sides for a good night's sleep. The site had very clean washing facilities and staff were friendly and welcoming. We will easily be coming back again for another weekend!”
“Lots of extras on and around the grounds. I stayed in the hostel (not camping) and it was great. They have a small, but well built kitchen available. Comfortable, sturdy beds, friendly and very helpful staff. They have a small shop available during regular hours with things you may need. Large social area, with comfy seating, next to the kitchen (also dining area). Amazing views and surrounding forest area.”
“Perfect in every way possible. We stayed in a lovely secluded lodge just beside the river. Lots of wildlife within walking distance and of course just outside your front door. We'll be back.”
“Had a weekend away staying in one of their Hot tub lodges. Perfect for what we were doing, in Central London one day and Harry Potter world the next so it was a great base. Still had time to have a walk around the canal and site grounds, lodge was clean with all modern amenities. Had a nice feel and plenty of room for the family.”
“We were looking for somewhere near our friends with good access to London but hotels were a bit expensive or too small for a family of 4 with young children. Air BnBs locally were also not quite what we needed so we thought we would try the Peaky Pods as an alternative to a hotel with the benefit of a kitchenette. Wow we got that and much more! The bus stop outside the campsite made it really easy to catch a bus and a tube to London and it was nice to be in the quiet of the forest. The play park on site was great for the kids and there was a really nice walk along the river Lee and canal. Staff were helpful but we had everything we needed and no need to ask anything. The pod was really clean and cosy. We would 100% stay again the next time we want to visit our friends.”
“Just back from an 4 day break which turned into a 8 day break. Mark was really helpful when we were trying to set up and along with a few fellow campers and staff they managed to get us pitched correctly in no time - nothing seems to much bother for them. I asked to stay on extra nights and Billy at reception went out of his way to sort my extra nights and I didn't have to move pitch. Visited this site many times over the last 7 years, started in a tent and progressed to a hard top folding camper and now our beloved Hobby caravan. The site really is immaculate, they focus on every detail. Pitches are quite large, shower blocks are fantastic, possibly the best we've used, always clean. Staff are very friendly, they go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect, nothing too much trouble. I was there on my own for most of my visit, the owners kept their eye out on me, i felt relaxed and safe in the secure environment. They are constantly improving the site as we have witnessed over the years. The long termers are friendly and welcoming to tourers. Perfectly located with shops and pubs, beautiful surrounding areas. Booked up to return before we left ! Thanks Thriftwood team.”
“I only got here today but so far very pleased. The toilets are very clean just like the site. It's about a mile to the underground so I can easily get to my family in hainault and elm park.”
“Been before and went back.....that tells you a lot ! Clean, tidy, well kept, well staffed with friendly helpful people. Good location for accessing London and not far off the M25.”
“Our daughter has just finished a week at Camp Wild and she loved it!! This was her first time at Camp Wild, we tried so many different holiday clubs in the last years and it has always been a bit of a struggle, but this week Elsa would wake up early to go to Camp Wild :-) Camp Wild will definitely be our holiday club moving forward. The staff is great and the mixed gender team provides a good balance to the children. They do so many activities; there is really something for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to Camp Wild team!!”
“Great holiday club, well run and good value for money.”
