“My kids and now grandchild all did Scouts, and this ground is one lotscof scouts visit on a regular basis, with archery, shooting, climbing, different types of camping opportunities... its exceptional for young people of all ages. Scouts is a great teacher of life skills for boys and girls alike.”
“If you want peaceful this is your site. Facilities are kept to a very high standard washrooms have hairdressers which is a bonus. Very helpful and friendly staff, Jayne was fantastic throughout our stay. Its next to the river bank so great for fishing and kayaking, only a 10/15 mins walk into town centre.”
“We absolutely love this place, we come back every year as we have family near Peterborough, its quite, loads of walking with Grafham Water a short walk across a field. The wardens are brilliant the site always looks clean and tidy.”
“Great campsite. Owner makes sure it's not crammed like other sites and kids have plenty of space to play. Good flat meadow that you can pitch where you like. Owners also do breakfast rolls on Sunday mornings saving you the hassle of cooking n cleaning whilst packing up. Nice pub over the road and the site supplies fire pits and logs. Pretty much the perfect site and I wouldn't hesitate to go back!!”
“Mostly fantastic, the selection of restaurants is great, the lodges have a very nice social area and good facilities. The only thing I found to be an issue was that the Subtropical Swimming Paradise isn’t quite up to the level of Elveden Forest’s in my opinion, as it lacks a saltwater lagoon (mostly negated by the lazy river being saltwater) although there being more large flumes is great, and I get that this can’t be easily changed as it is a central feature. Overall a great Center Parcs resort.”
“Very well kept and managed. The staff are all very helpful. The park is well maintained and immaculately kept”
“Nothing to fault however be aware that nearly all the accommodation is owner occupied”
“This is a really lovely place to stay just had a weekend there on a stag do for 5 off us its located to the town of market harborough there's activity centres close by and the owners are very helpful and responsive there's a nice hot tub we all very much enjoyed it and would recommend it 5* and more if we could give it”
“We’ve been to four other Featherdown sites and this one is the best. Great place for mountain bike rides along grassy bridleways. But also useful to have bikes to get from tent to farm shop/animals/charging point.”
“I was lucky enough to win four tickets to Wicksteed Park in a competition, and I went there yesterday. What a fantastic day it was! I absolutely loved my visit and would highly recommend the park to anyone looking for a full day of fun. The first thing that impressed me was how enormous the park is. There's so much space to explore that you never feel cramped or are fighting for room. The size of the park gives you a sense of freedom and the opportunity to discover something new around every corner. Besides the space, there's a huge amount to do. The variety of entertainment is impressive, with attractions for all ages. Whether you're looking for big thrills or something more gentle, there's something for everyone. We spent the whole day there and still felt like there were more things to see and do, which is a big plus. For me, Wicksteed Park is the perfect place for a fun family day out. The atmosphere is great, and with so much to do, it's impossible to get bored. It was an experience I'll remember fondly.”
“Really lovely site and Doris is very friendly and very chatty, very welcoming and make you feel very relaxed. Love the site, the sound of the bird's. Know it's just a basic toilet and shower, chemical toilet waste but it's just fine for us. Really like it book up again for next month.”
“Spent two lovely days here - owner was very helpful and friendly and the 50% discount for a meal at the Brampton Mill just around the corner from the site was an unexpected bonus. We were an unexpected arrival a bit later in day but they kindly waited for us. The toilets/shower block (including laundry facilities ) were very clean and tidy and warm . Ideal to stay over if travelling to Dover or as we were - the Tunnel . Would definitely stay again. Not much noise from roads either - good nights sleep.Dog friendly too and walks from the site.”
“I recently stayed in the vintage yurt for my anniversary with my girlfriend and I couldnt have been happier the facility's and staff where all most accommodating. The place was spotless, I highly recommend this site to anyone after a relaxing weekend with beautiful views. Thanks to the hosts Joel and Lucie I will definitely be coming back.”
“I was booked to perform at a 10 year wedding anniversary & blessing. The overall event was very much like a a wedding and the entire day and evening was amazing. It was a beautiful hot day and the views from the lakes were amazing. The venue is perfect for numerous functions and the staff are all very professional and accommodating. Socials: Sonik Wave Mobile Disco .”
“Loved it! Great for the kids, shame the pool was shut, but the themed log cabins are great, but a tad small. Staff were amazing, so friendly, and helpful. We'll go back for a longer stay again.”
“We've absolutely loved our four night stay at Northend Farm Glamping. The tents are beautifully laid out with ample space around. We took our own tarp tent which was beneficial as an extra sun shade and rain cover. The kids loved exploring round the site but the dog was in his absolute element! Lots of care and thought has gone into everything, the showers were surprisingly brilliant given there is no power on site. Andy and Sherri were fantastic hosts, we would definitely recommend and visit again!”
“Not been for 30 years — used to camp here as teenagers to escape our parents. Booked last-minute with the kids based on location, price, and availability. Wasn’t expecting much, but it’s changed a lot — and for the better. We’d stayed at a Parkdean site in Skegness recently. This was cheaper, the caravan was bigger, and the whole experience felt less pushy — no upselling the second we arrived. Arrival was smooth. I downloaded the app (wasn’t thrilled at first), but it actually worked. No queue for keys — the gate recognised our number plate, the app sent a link straight to the caravan, and Google got us within 5 pitches. The caravans are clearly numbered, so the kids counted down to ours. App unlocked the door. Kids ran in to pick rooms while I unloaded the car — first time that’s ever happened on a short break. Caravan had 3 proper bedrooms, a main bathroom, and a separate toilet — really handy. Heating fired up instantly. We were a 7-minute walk from the pool (took 3 tries to find the shortcut). Pool was spotless, water warm, and there was a water slide we didn’t expect. Lifeguards were friendly and on it. Not crowded at all. Arcades were modern — kids loved the demolition ball game. Drinks were fair prices. Lucked into a free fireworks night (saw it on the app). Watched from the outdoor bar with burgers and pizza while the kids played on the park nearby. Felt relaxed and safe. Solid weekend. Didn’t expect to enjoy it this much.”
