“Amazing food for amazing prices with amazing staff. The ambience of the restaurant is really calming and comfortable, everyone is friendly and making sure you feel welcome. The portions are really generous and you really get your money's worth if not even more. For starters we had the Papaya Salad (awesome, but quite hot), as well as the Chicken Salad (perfect). For the mains we chose the Pad Makahm duck (this was the best duck both of us ever had!!) and the Chi Mussaman Curry (very delicious). The 20min car journey to get there was definitely worth it and I will go again!”

“I had my Baby Shower here. There were 11 of us in total and we all had afternoon tea which consisted of four delicious courses and unlimited teas, coffees, hot chocolates and water. The food was so good and the service was outstanding. Sharon was so accommodating and friendly and no request was too big. The staff went to the trouble of decorating the chairs for us too! It was a really lovely afternoon full of laughter, yummy food and excellent service and I cannot fault it at all! Highly recommend to everyone wanting a quaint, friendly and intimate setting that serve delicious food and go above and beyond.”

Due to recent reviews there are a few horrible reviews from a sour ex partner that is an alcoholic and was caught drink drinking 5 times over the limit. “My mother & father have lived around the corner from The Albany for over 20 years but hadn’t been inside due to less than favourable reputation. WHAT A MISTAKE!! When my father passed away a few weeks ago we decided to book the Albany for my father’s wake & from start to finish they were absolutely fantastic! Their kindness towards my mother was lovely, their professionalism was top notch and the food was outstanding the chef could not do enough for us everything was made fresh to order to suit individual requirements. I would like to thank the Albany on behalf of my father & we will be regular visitors from now on (I can’t wait to taste more of the chef’s delicious food 10/10 xx”

Good choice of many options on the menu, including full English breakfast (served until 3pm) burgers, steaks, sandwiches, soup, etc. Chose Ham eggs and chips, with a side of mushrooms.
