“My favourite place to go in this oriental food hall. MASSIVE selection of food to choose from. I go for the vegetarian nasi goreng and it’s absolutely delicious. Portion size is huge and always end up taking it home if I’m on my own eating it. Also get the vegetarian Singapore noodles, salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper fries from here and they are great dishes and never had an issue with food from here. Fast and efficient service and plenty of other shops around.”

“What a find! This friendly Thai chef has created a real Thai street food gem in the heart of Epsom! I love the simple menu, which will cater for most people (not trying to do too many things, just a short select menu, done really well!). All cooked fresh, and very fast service. Got the pad thai with chicken and prawns. Noodles were light and full of flavour and chicken and prawns delicious. Big portions! enough if you're super hungry, or easily split into two meals. will be returning here for sure.”

“Excellent colombian food with a slight twist. Went there on a Saturday for lunch, the first to arrive for lunch. The menu was very interesting, with some traditional Colombian dishes and others a bit more their twist (e.g., the sushi with plantain, and the buñuelos with smoked mackerel). We ordered a few dishes for the two of us to share. The arepas con choclo, buñelos, empanadas, plantain sushi, and the arroz atollado. It took awhile for the food to come, which I think has to do with us being the first to order lunch. The good thing is that it did indicate that the food was freshly made, rather than reheated. All in all, the plates were very tasty. My favorite was probably the arroz atollado (rice with coconut and seafood). The amount of seafood in the rice was generous, the coconut flavor and the sauce were really tasty. The crispy fried plantains added a nice crunch to it. It could have used a bit of acid, but all in all it was great. The arepas con choclo (arepas with corn kernels) were probably my second favorite, but arepas with choclo are my favorite kind of arepas. The empanadas were my least favorite. It's not that they weren't good, but I thought they could have more carne and less potatos. The amount of food was good for the two of us, no complaints about portion sizes. I read a few negative reviews saying that the food didn't have any bold flavors. I guess that many people associate Latin American food mainly with Mexican food, with their use of spices, moles, and other salsas to boost the flavor. Colombian food isn't like that. It's generally not spicy, but more about letting the flavor of the base ingredients come through. Worth noting that most of the menu is naturally gluten free.”

“We had a fantastic experience at Banana Tree! We ordered the Pad Thai and Katsu Curry - both dishes were absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tang and spice, while the Katsu Curry was rich, comforting, and generously portioned. A special shoutout to Paula, who was absolutely lovely throughout our visit. Her warm, attentive service really made our meal even more enjoyable. It’s always a pleasure to be looked after by someone so friendly and professional. Highly recommend Banana Tree if you’re looking for tasty food and great service. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Stopped for a sunday lunch as they have a deal for £14.95. Turns out its any starter, main,veg and rice or naan off the menu. Wow..fantastic value and fantastic food. Everything was absolutely delicious I had chicken 65 to start and truckdrivers lamb for main, mushroom rice saag paneer and a cold cobra…Lovely. Everyone said how nice it was and we all said we would be back. Give it a go, well worth it. Edit…31/10/23. Unfortunately they stopped the sunday deal months ago. Shame have not been back since”

“Came here with 6 friends of mine post-Twickenham rugby, and the service and food were absolutely amazing. Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly, and the food was delivered quickly. Every one of us had a different dish (from pad thai, to spicy crispy duck, curries, calamari, pork ribs, and more) - every single one was tender and a perfect balance of flavours. I myself got the yellow yellow noodles dish with chicken thighs, and it reminded me a lot of the Chiang Mai/Khao Soi noodles I had when I was in Thailand myself. 5 stars. Highly recommend!”

I do like the hot plate left at the table because im in no rush and I pop the large rectangular dish back up to keep it warm. “i really enjoyed it here! the ambience is very nice, music being not too loud and the service being very speedy! however the food portion was too big for my liking, but you shouldnt regard that as a negative :) i went with family and they absolutely enjoyed the meals!! its a very cozy experience dining here, i would recommend if you like thai food !!”
