“We live just up the road and thought it was a greasy spoon. How wrong we were. Poached is a postage stamp size gourmet breakfast restaurant. The menu is innovative. The service is warm and friendly. That totally know their coffee (fresh roasted beans on sale here too). A delightful place for breakfast (and probably lunch too. As a bonus they have a live train times board and do takeaways. 5 stars all the way.”

We will be booking for Sunday Lunch next week.There are a lot of restaurants in Beckenham beginning with the letter P but none of them compare with the service and food at Papilios !”

“We came for a Sunday roast. The food was exceptional, huge portions and lots of options (including multiple veggie options). Decor is beautiful. Service was lovely, staff were very professional. The atmosphere was nice but died a little when the music went off around 8.30pm and it implied that it was time for everyone to leave. Also the 14.5% service charge seems steep for Beckenham.”

“After running around london all weekend trying to find a sexual health clinic. Visiting here made me feel so well looked after. We emailed them on the Sunday and got a reply the morning of the monday and a same day appointment. All of the staff were very kind and efficient. I especially wanted to thank Pippa for her lovely service, she explained in detail the copper coil procedure and made me feel super safe all throughout. “Great service, great price, option to book (which is a big win for me) - and staff are very friendly. Sam does a great job every time cutting my hair - I've tried other barbers in the area, and by far his service has been the best in my opinion. Also highly recommended for kids - they have the car (which works!) for kids to sit in while getting their hair cut, Sam talks to your kid while cutting their hair (this helps reassure my son as he can get a bit nervous), and there's a great haircut at the end of it. All for a very reasonable price. Thanks!”

The staff are excellent, from the friendly, welcoming receptionists to the extremely knowledgeable chiropractor, Greg who administered the treatment, advised me on what I need to do in order to maintain a healthy Achilles and got me back walking normally again after just 6 treatments.”

“Lovely coffee shop really close to the station, not the place to be sitting on your laptop (my mistake) it’s hustle and bustle and friendly customer service is great if you’re just stopping by and having a good catchup. But wouldn’t stay for long as it’s a tiny space. Definitely recommend for good coffee and quality baked goods. Had the blackberry danish was so good I forgot to take a photo!”

“This is the barbershop I go to for last two years I guess. Each member of the team is good and puts heart in the work they do. They are not afraid to use scissors, because they know how to use machines and clippers, but also they often practice traditional ways of mens grooming. Very nice atmosphere of a local shop, where people know each other, make jokes, tell stories. This is a business that is family run and in my opinion they have the great achievement of keeping local chaps smart and tidy :)”
