Food was delicious also, loved the richness of my starter, main and desert. It was so lovely to meet the owner too she was absolutely amazing and welcoming despite her hard work and business. “Contrary to other reviews, this is a good and supportive school with well educated staff and teachers. They are also not extremely strict like other schools which allows students here to form their identities without being stripped of their personal Liberty and freedom of self expression (like some other schools). Multicultural and diverse, you have students from all sorts of different backgrounds which enables you to mingle and form relationships with people from cultures all across the world. The education system is supportive. Staff is supportive. Cantine food is mediocre. I don’t know how things have changed from when I left 5 years ago, but from the time I was here, I enjoyed my secondary school experience. Other schools have it a lot worse, at friern Barnet you were enabled to be educated while not being autonomously ruled.”

“The Function band were part of our wedding day a few months ago. Honestly, we had the best day ever, they were simply incredible from start to finish!!! Every single guest was up on the dance floor all night long, and we just didn’t want the music to end. The energy, the talent, and the atmosphere they created was just amazing. Massive thanks to this amazing band. We loved every minute and couldn’t recommend them highly enough!!!”

“Had a private group lesson with my partner and his parents! They were so nervous because it was their first time doing any sort of dance class. Alex made everyone so comfortable and taught the class in the most engaging and warm way. I would 10/10 recommend her for any one who’s looking to introduce a little dance into their lives in a fun and engaging way ”

“A lovely hidden gem just opposite Sainsburys in New Barnet. Really lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great coffee and even better food. I had Halloumi, mushrooms and poached eggs on sourdough bread and it was delicious.”

“Based on my first visit (weekday lunchtime) I found the pub extremely welcoming, clean and comfortable. I had time to kill before my hospital appointment so stayed for a coffee and wine, no food. Manager Amy was personable, warm and extremely hospitable and I watched her greet a handful of customers by first name. The pub is spacious though I'm told they get very busy in the evenings and special occasions.Toilets were clean, spacious and nicely decorated, the washbasin was lower than usual which I assume is also great for kids and wheelchair users. I would say this pub could cater to most accessibility needs. There is a large garden with wooden seating and decked areas but sadly the weather wasn't playing ball today, so I'll return later in the summer.”

“Really great place since the refurbishment. Lovely dining room and then the bar separate with a good quality pool table. Very friendly service and the bar tenders are always helpful with helping me choose something new to try. Clean, good environment and lovely food. The portions are decent. Nice that there is seating outside for us smokers”

“This animal rescue centre is a sweet place that's run by volunteers and looks after animals in need of assistance. You can pay a small fee to visit the animals, which I highly recommend, before stopping for a drink and a snack on your way out. Well worth supporting!”
