Cuisine experience in Croydon

“Ponte Nuovo has got to be the best Italian in Croydon. A great selection of starters, the bread and oil is so simple yet incredibly moreish, and the main courses are full of flavour and depth. Big big portions. Save space for the deserts, the gigantic profiteroles in a sea of chocolate sauce, the insanely rich tiramisu. Staff are very friendly and speak highly of the italian chef and kitchen staff; a sure sign of a good front of house/back of house team relationship. Service was perfect, meals bought out together and well presented. This is somewhere you bring family for a great dinner. At this time of year it had a good but not overpowering christmas decorative theme. We're going back soon.”

“Best takeaway in Croydon, bar none. I've been a regular customer since the mid 1990s. The wife and I love the combination of special fried rice, sweet and sour pork balls, king prawn curry, fried shredded beef with carrots and prawn crackers. The best set dinner for two is option A.”

“Great pizza at a great price. I love pizza and normally make my own, but sometimes I'm in the mood for a delivery pizza. I used to just get it from the chains, but wanted to try a local place so ordered their double pepperoni. Price was much better than ordering from a chain, the delivery driver was very friendly, and the pizza had plenty of cheese and toppings. Meat, cheese, and sauce were all very good, but the base/crust was one of the best I've had. They have a really flavourful dough and it was cooked perfectly, giving it a nice texture and slight taste of char from the pizza oven. Definitely will order again from here rather than other places!”

“The best Chinese take away in Croydon. The flavours are amazing, portion sizes match the price also. The customer service is great. Also you can pay by card unlike a lot of Chinese takeaways in the area. My go to is a Kong pow king prawn with special fried rice.”

“My favorite cafe love the Cappuccino, food&the service of the staff is 5 star.I strongly disagree with the negative people That have put negative posts up about Cafe Tresor,I've been drinking cappuccino &ordering toasted chicken healthily food wraps.On a whole I dont like a full English breakfast but I have had it from here.They do it to your exact order here.Its always so busy.They have outside sitting also.The staff are really friendly very helpful.Atmosphere is A+.They never mind you taking photos Plus the owner is very friendly.”

“Our local pub. We are not regulars but came here quite a few times with our baby son and with friends. Beer is always great, staff is lovely. Haven’t had a chance to try to food yet but will do soon. It’s dog friendly too (it has two beer gardens). We do grief the vivid blue colour. It was such a nice vibe. The white is quite ordinary.”

“I’ve had sushi from Tashi sushi multiple times and it’s very cheap and decent quality . Altogether this came up to about £12.40 which I think is incredibly cheap for how much there is .”

“First time @Ayat and loved it. Good was great, flavour dishes prepared with care. Interior looks great has it's own unique flair although music was to loud. Service was a bit lacking. We where seated promptly and our food came out in timely manner but the waitress didn't check on us at all (she was on her phone all the time we where there as we could see from our spot). We need to get up and ask her for another round of drinks as she wasn't paying any attention to us at all.And then she got our simple order for drinks wrong, we where the only costumers there so no distractions and it was quite early an a lazy Sunday. Hope that the service does improve as the food was delicious. Will come back to give it another chance for sure.”

“Went in with a group of friends and the portion sizes were big enough to fill us to the brim! Beautiful food, lovely ambience, and we were sat in the little carpeted book but didn't feel forgotten. Recommend to anyone looking to treat their tastebuds”
