I ordered the Lamb Cutlets, which is my preferred dish at every restaurant I visit, and the serving here was easily the best size I have ever encountered. The dish consisted of four substantial pieces, and the portion was definitely satisfying. I left the restaurant feeling completely full and content. “lovely staff and good amount of seating area. i had the cinnamon roll more than once it was very nice! not everyone can perfect the roll but it suited my preference for it well. there’s an upstairs with a lighter environment great for doing work and a downstairs area which is a bit moodier but a nice place to read books just depending on your preference.”

“Le Bon Cafe, a popular spot for breakfast is an unsuspecting Moroccan restaurant which I have been meaning try. Finally went in but didn't try the Moroccan dishes as planned but will revisit again another time. To be fair, the Moroccan menu had a good range of the usual suspects like the tangine, pancakes and briwat. It seems the breakfast is more popular possibly because it is cheaper than the Moroccan dishes. I had the American pancakes with salmon and scrambled egg which was how it should be. It was served stacked which was quite different and the pancakes were thick and soft unlike the supermarket ones which you can buy. Will return for the Moroccan dishes so I can compare it to the ones at Shepherds bush which are a third cheaper.”

“The only bar worth visiting in Croydon if you enjoy craft beer. Excellent range of beers both on tap and in the fridge. They usually have food available at weekends, and on weekdays you’re welcome to bring food in. Knowledgable staff.”

“I flew here from Melbourne where you can't find Foster's on tap anywhere (go figure!). The beer is great, and most are pulled from a traditional pump. The fish and chips is up there with the the best I've had. This place vibes like I would hope every little street pub would vibe. It's a shame I have to fly back home to the other Croydon in Melbourne.”
