“Visited for the first time whilst visiting the area for the Hampton Court flower show. Very clean restaurant with a relaxing vibe. Helpful and friendly waiter who also held the door open for us when we left. Fresh, tasty and flavoursome food- perfect sized portions. I couldn’t decide between a 4 star or 5 star review, it would actually be a 4.5 star review if that was possible. As the fried rice with chicken was the best I’ve ever had I finally decided on a 5 star review. Worth a visit if you are in the area.”

“Our visit to the Bear for a meal was brilliant. We went to the cinema before, and because I knew we’d be arriving late on a Sunday (3:45) I specified what roast we’d like just incase they were running low. Anyway, the team did a great job holding our food back for us as requested as they did run out. It was delicious! Lovely cosy calm atmosphere too (and my Irish boyfriend loved his Guinness).”

“A Truly Wonderful Stay – Even with a Rocky Start What a fantastic experience from start to finish—even though our trip began on a difficult note. My wife was injured on the way to The Bear, and we couldn’t have been met with more kindness and care. The staff went above and beyond, and Tracy was an absolute gem—warm, genuine, and made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel. This stay really highlighted the contrast with one of the sister hotels we visited, which lacked the same warmth and charm. It’s our second time at The Bear—we stayed last year, and although my wife was initially hesitant about staying in a pub setting, she ended up loving it so much that it topped her list for this year’s trip. We noticed several subtle improvements since our last visit—small touches that really add up and elevate the overall experience. It’s clear that care and attention to detail are a priority here. If we had one minor complaint, it would be the limited parking, but it’s a small trade-off for such a welcoming and comfortable stay. Top rated—we’d love to return again.”

Bouncers Chessy and Leon provided a safe space for the kids to have fun while being respectful of our home. Hummings proprietor was very attentive making sure his team arrived on time and checking they had everything they needed to do a brilliant job. All supported behind the scenes by Mahathi who expertly understood our requirements and matched the team to our needs. “My wife, daughter, and I ate here while visiting Chessington World Adventures. The food was fantastic, the ambience was lovely, and the staff were patient and very welcoming. The staff welcomed us and gave enough time between each course and couldn't be more helpful. The food was as good as a meal in Italy! We ordered both the bruschetta and caprese salad between my wife and l, and the tastes were well-balanced and only bettered by the fresh pumpkin ravioli and pizza. If we visit the area in the future, we will certainly be going back!”

“The lovely pub hosted our daughter's 40th Birthday party in the side room off the main bar. We were able to decorate the room and also to have a local guitarist entertain us together with a fab face painter. Our party was able to order yummy food and drinks from the bar. “My dad took me here and at first I was sceptical, as I’m very much a beginner in spice and not always in the mood for a late dinner night out. But once I was there I didn’t want to go! The staff and very helpful, nice and definitely know their Indian food! And the spice? Don’t worry, from beginners to spice pros it’s perfect! There’s a lot of effort put into this great restaurant! We arrived just after happy hour had finished but had called ahead and Ajay very kindly extended the offer for us to enjoy some of the fab Margaritas. The shop at Esher has plenty of stock to choose from and James leaves you free to browse but is on hand to answer any questions. The quotation was very competitive and appointments to template and fit the worktop met. The fitters were experienced and hardworking and James ensured I was happy with all aspects before they left. I would definitely use Stone Gallery again.”

“Orangery Tea House is a spacious cozy spot with a lovely, inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and efficient, and our food arrived quickly. We ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast, Avocado Toast, and Salmon Bagel—all of which were delicious. The cappuccino was also excellent. We made sure to arrive early on Sunday to beat the weekend crowd, and it paid off. Highly recommend for a relaxing and tasty experience!”
