“Yummy! Good vegan breakfast available, and dairy alternatives for coffee. Only issue is that it is quite cold inside the cafe as it feels like there is a door open at the back so quite draughty, food is great though!”

“Visited Giggling Squid - Chistlehurst for the first time today. This restaurant is beautiful and the decor is light and fresh. The food was very nice. We ordered starters of the crispy squid bits, north eastern papaya salad and money bag dumplings which were all very tasty. For mains, we ordered beef massaging curry with coconut rice and prawn pad thai all very delicious. The only criticism is the Thai Ice tea was on the smaller side and ok for taste. The service was nice and friendly. Also, slightly overpriced but food was very good. There is parking in bays right outside but it is charged within certain hours Monday to Saturday. Overall, I would definitely recommend and will be returning.”

“A delightful experience. Having previously visited for superb coffee and delicious pastries, I couldn't resist the opportunity to book when offered the opportunity to dine here for a summer special. The menu looked irresistible and did not disappoint! Very high attention to detail and beautiful presentation paved the way for a delicious culinary experience (menu attached). Owned and run by a lovely couple I cannot recommend highly enough this wonderful cafe and occasional restaurant. Every item is simply exquisite and I am so glad I booked. Every course was lovingly and delicately presented with pride in a super chilled and leisurely alfresco restaurant. Simply delightful and highly recommended.”

“Took my daughter here after she had a terrible experience at another salon and we couldn’t be happier. Her hair is the best I have ever seen it, she has been so happy the whole way home and has taken photos to send to all her friends. “Came for a midweek birthday lunch and had a great experience. The food is absolutely delicious and, as other reviewers have said, it is priced fairly for what you get - the higher prices are definitely reflected in the quality! We got the house platter, prawns, scallops, bread and butter and chips, and a bottle of Kentish sparkling wine. Particular highlights were the chilli salted prawns (so delicious!!), house chips, scallops and oysters. The servers were very friendly and attentive in topping up our wine and checking we were ok. We sat outside which was lovely given the warmer weather (although you are quite close to the road and I’d love to experience the ambience inside next time!).”

“This is a family owned Italian restaurant owned by an Italian person, with a great ambience.. The food is amazing, always fresh and cooked well. The service is second to none. They always make you feel special and can't do enough for you. Great selection of hot and cold dishes, as well as fish and meat options. It is a very popular restaurant with the locals and gets really busy, so make sure to book a table.”

“I've been coming to this fish and chip shop for over 10 years, and it's about time I left a review! The quality has been consistently excellent over the years – perfectly crispy batter, fresh fish, and generous portions. The chips are always hot and golden, just the way they should be. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick, even during busy times. It's hands down the best chippy around, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended!”

“As a now regular to this restaurant, i would defoliate consider this the best Indian food in chislehurst. The papadams are delicate and crispy; served with a sweet yoghurt mint sauce, a jammy mango chutney and a small diced salad. The samosas are always steaming hot and have a thick layer of crisp pasty met with a explosion of spices and fluffy vegetables. They are always served with a pomegranate reduction sauce.The mixed grill is one is sensational. Perfectly cooked tandoori meats all enveloped with deep marinade and so tender. The soft shell crab was crispy, flavourful and buttery. It’s only downside was it tasted a tiny bit fishy. The lamb jalfrezi is large chunks of juicy lamb with a curry sauce that has immaculate flavour. Garlic chilli prawns are a staple at ginger and spices and in my opinion the beat item on the menu and the best prawns i have ever had. But be were; the are not mild”

My friends and I all ordered different dishes, and everyone loved what they got. The best part? They surprised me with a slice of cake and a candle—such a sweet and unexpected touch! The service was great too, and we’ll definitely be coming back again. Can’t wait for the next visit!”

“This place is the Best place in and around Chislehurst, Trust Me! 100% The Breakfasts are absolutely spot on!! I have recently tried their roast dinners on various different days and Oh My God! It is out of this world, I am not joking please Try it and see for yourselves. Sev and Ali are really nice people and they know how to look after their customers. This is a good Old Fashioned Cafe! “Came for a quick drink, came here a few years ago and really liked it, still a great place. Went on a Sunday lunchtime, not the best time because it was packed. Didn't stay to eat but if you do want to then I recommend booking in advance if they take reservations. We sat outside which was fine since it was a nice day. Friendly, welcoming and helpful service from the gent behind the bar (possibly the manager/owner). Very family orientated feel to the place. Very cosy inside. Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices.”

“I recently held a wake for my late mother at The Queen’s Head, and I cannot praise the team enough. From start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and professional. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly during such an emotional time. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. There was a fantastic variety, and it was all so well received by our guests—it disappeared in no time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made everyone feel comfortable and cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend The Queen’s Head to anyone looking for a venue to host a wake or any special gathering. “I'm really impressed. The table is really top quality and every bit as good as what the adverts show. The glass table top is nice, smooth motor controls, sturdy, all the electronics work well. The drawer has a nice soft close, and inside soft cushioning. The wireless mobile charging works fine - it's not fast charging (but not advertised as so) but works completely fine, just like my other wireless chargers. I've not tried the USB ports yet. I couldn't find a better competitor out there that does anything like this table. For home working it is great.”

“Very Friendly service and nice relaxing atmosphere with delicious food, dessert and drinks. Our table was regularly checked to see if everything was okay and everyone was very attentive even though the place got busy very quickly with many regular guests. We also met the owner and his wonderful wife who made sure they visited every table and greeted the guest to see if everything was ok… it’s wonderful to see how much they care and appreciate their guests. Definitely worth a Revisit and try the Gurkha 660ml Beer.”

“One of the best Chinese restaurants in Orpington. We ordered Tofu, and it was delicious, literally melting. The Pork and Chicken was really nice, it was recommended by the staff. The staff is really friendly. A reasonably priced restaurant must visit.”
