“Cafe run by charity Mencap - fantastic initiative to give people with learning disabilities the chance to learn skills in catering, customer services and hospitality. I have never eaten there but just had a quick coffee / kids snacks - it doesn't feel that warm and cosy to me, so I've never been tempted to linger too long. My suggestion would be to remove the PCs and introduce some sofas and perhaps some toys or games. Not sure how feasible that would be!”

“I had the pleasure of visiting Burritos Watford recently. The mexican tottilla wrap were absolutely mouthwatering—the Chicken was juicy and packed with flavour, and the combination of toppings was perfect. It's definitely one of the best burritos I’ve had in a while! I also tried the mexican rice, which are something truly special. The way they’ve put it all together is unique and unlike anything I've had before. It's a must-try for anyone looking for something different and tasty! A big shoutout to udaya for her amazing customer service. She made the experience even more enjoyable with her friendly and helpful attitude. It’s not every day you come across someone so dedicated to making sure you have the best dining experience. Highly recommend this place for great food and excellent service! “Service was the best I’ve had. Very quick, always keeping an eye on our drinks throughout the brunch. Can’t fault them at all, food was tasty too, would highly recommend. The only thing they’re missing is entertainment.”

“Our family booked The Hammer In Hand for a wake yesterday. Staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Prices were extremely reasonable and the food served was fresh with a great variety of rolls. The whole day was made so much easier with the great service we received from everyone there. Thank you. “This is a great place to get sushi - the conveyor belt is fun but also if you can’t find what you want on it, you’re able to order other items from the menu. The staff are nice and friendly and the only real issue is that it can get a bit busy/crowded on weekends so it isn’t always possible to get the waiter’s attention sometimes. I don’t really blame them because it’s a really busy place and the quality of the sushi is great. It’s definitely worth it for the price and the food is pretty filling. The variety of salmon sushi made me happy and the cheesecake dessert is also quite good. Prawn crackers are tasty as well. Sometimes if you order non sushi items, it can take awhile to get your food (my friend had to wait for almost 30 minutes which wasn’t good but I could see the chefs were very busy!).”

As it is located within a residential village, not many people realise it is actually open to the general public for brunch, lunch and dinner. (As someone who eats Gluten Free, my needs were catered for really well and I was reassured about the ingredients in the dish and the preparation process.)”

“I always have a relaxing time at Villiers. This is a cozy and laidback café, with a lot of different treats on offer that cater to a variety of diets. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. I was very appreciative that I could choose between a few flourless snacks. I’ve had the flapjack, the cheesecake, and the salted caramel brownie, all of which I enjoyed. Shoutout to the barista Anna, who always ensures that the gluten free goodies I get are handled safely so I can enjoy them without getting a reaction! The coffee is very good, and I can't complain when there's nice latte art. I don’t love that the latte is served in a glass instead of a mug, but that's more of a preference than a comment on the quality. It tastes great regardless! In short: very nice and recommend!”

“I went to this coffee shop few days ago, and ordered a cappuccino which was damn amazing. The latte art in that coffee was so good that I even took a picture of it. There was this guy named Parin who was a very good guy exceeding excellent hospitality to his customers. I recommend anyone and everyone to visit this coffee shop if you’re craving for fantastic coffee drinks.”

“Best Sunday roast in Watford. We came around 4 pm few times and the service and the owner is always very nice. Best book in advance for Sunday Roast as it sells out very quickly. This pub won Watford Observer Award 2023.”

Ordered a takeaway What we ordered: - Chicken Iskender £16.00 Shakshuka £4.00 Halloumi £4.50 Chicken Mix £22.00 They also kindly chucked in some Turkish bread, dips, salad and something extra which I’m not too sure what it was but tasted great. Collected from the restaurant and saved on Uber fees. Food was great and would prob try dining in.”

It has that Korean homemade feel to their food. Not going to lie, it’s not flashy food, it’s not trying to be in your face, it’s not instagrammable. It isn’t overly spiced. It’s not trying to adhere to the local palette. Instead, it feels genuine, fresh, and from the heart-like a lovely homemade meal. To us that defines what a 5 star review should be.
