“We had a fantastic dining experience at Prime Rickmansworth in Chandlers Cross. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The triple-cooked chips were absolutely delicious and complemented the meal perfectly. The service was attentive and professional, and the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. A wonderful spot for anyone who appreciates quality food and great hospitality, highly recommended!”
“I’ve ordered gluten free fish & chips and I must say it was the best gluten free meal I have ever had!! Usually GF foods taste like cardboard but my fish was fresh, hot and crispy. I absolutely loved it. I will be coming back for more. Well done and thank you!”
“Best Fish and Chips in the area! Excellent quality food and service. The staff are very friendly and the prices are great. Would highly recommend.”
“I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The grilled food was absolutely lovely—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious and satisfying. The staff were also really friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re craving tasty, well-prepared grilled dishes!”
“Loved this restaurant. Live music, magicians and amazing service. The cocktails were del ious and the food was tasty. I would go again.”
“Had a fantastic experience at o’neill’s watford! Alicia was so kinds and was so accomodating when we wanted to move to a larger table that was covered with another groups food. She worked quickly to get it clear, and made sure we were well looked after! what a lovely lady, thank you for your service!! Regan was also super lovely and turned down the music for us when we were right next to the speakers! what a lovely place, with fabulous staff. :))”
“Great Portuguese Bar & Restaurant. Family environment and the food are amazing, far from home, but feel like home to me. Recommended”
“Nice Harvester with plenty of space for a wheelchair. Good food at affordable prices. The disabled access toilet was a little on the chilly side for mum but she survived. Our host Tanya was charming and accommodating. Will come again.”
“"Exquisite flavors danced on my taste buds, leaving me craving more. Each bite was a tantalizing journey of culinary artistry." "Their attention to detail and impeccable presentation elevated the dining experience to new heights, making every dish a delightful masterpiece."”
“Had a nice meal here. Staff welcoming and service was good. Bit quiet on the evening we went, but the food was lovely.”
“Great vibe in place well decorated and service staff very good and helpful. As for the food 10/10. We drove from ipswich to meet some london family half way and it was a very nice afternoon in restaurant.”
“Mohammed was incredibly nice and customised my order appropriately to fulfil my wants for both rice and chips. The lamb here was wonderful with generous portions and worth the price. There were even more delicious looking skewers of meat grilled up fresh that I would love to try.”
“During our trip to Watford to visit the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio, we discovered this restaurant completely by chance. For our arrival lunch, the four of us had an absolutely delightful meal. Both the children and the adults loved every dish. The food was exquisite, and we received a very warm welcome. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for dinner the following evening before the end of our stay, and we were just as impressed with the other dishes we tried. The quality of the food is superb, and the service is excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area! Christine , Nathalie & kids”
“Dropped by on a Friday evening and enjoyed an excellent meal, served promptly by friendly staff. Our dog was welcomed, toilet facilities were clean and well maintained and there was plenty of space to find a quiet corner. Only drawback is the limited parking locally.”
“An amazing vegan experience (was there with a non-vegan also). So so many vegan options on the menu that there was almost too much choice! (Almost - in truth, you can never have too many vegan options - I’m just not used to having so much choice that I ordered too much food and had to take some away!) I ordered 4 dishes off the lunch mezza selection; the Hummus Beirute, spicy cauliflower, moussaka and the falafel. The hummus was so fresh and proper homemade traditional style. The cauliflower was probably a standout favourite for me, but genuinely all the food was fantastic and I’d highly recommend it. The staff were so friendly and helpful; very knowledgeable about their vegan dishes and pointing out their own personal favourites. The restaurant vibe is really traditional Lebanese and I loved the decor.”
“I really enjoyed everything about this place. They have different style rooms depending on where you prefer to eat. I ordered the goats cheese and beetroot as the starter which was fantastic. I got the side of the tomato beef ragu pasta which was amazing but exactly the right size for my small appetite that day - they also brought a whole bowl of Parmesan for me to help myself. For dessert I ordered the brownie and doughballs with Nutella which came with icecream. I personally was not a fan of the brownie or the ice cream I wish there had been the option to just have a bowl of the doughballs as I had seen in other reviews as these were amazing. The tables were quite close together and it was really quite loud. I hope they invest in some sound absorbing panels. I would recommend and will be coming back. I have been again since and the pasta was still fantastic. We also ordered the mushroom risotto however this was lacking a bit of flavour, the walnuts were a nice touch. I do have to say the staff are fantastic about making adaptions to meals to intolerances.”
“Well, for a non-local or regular customer, I have been welcomed like I am. What a charming country boozer. The staff are always friendly and happy to serve you. Even the customers greet you. They serve a lovely pint of Guinness. I've not tried the food but it looks and smells awesome each time I visit. Thanks guys, great job.”
“Visited this place today and I must say it's phenomenal. From the atmosphere, food and service, everything was pin point perfect. The prawn starter was delicious. The mixed platter was to die for and the bolognese was so amazingly tasty. Not to mention, all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will certainly visit again and so should you all.”
“I enjoy visiting here as I enjoy the old school atmosphere of how Indian restaurants used to be which feels nostalgic from the decor to the little details such as how the food is served, large chutney pots etc. The service is excellent and the food also tastes great and is reasonably priced.”
“Stayed 2 nights in twin room. Rooms lovely and clean tea, coffee, kettle etc. Good location to train and bus station easy walking distance and flat. If your going to Harry Potter studios great location to drive or catch bus. Food in pub was fine, and good value for money. Staff are amazing especially Briony. Would stay again.”
“Had a great experience at the Wetherspoon in Watford. The ambience was really nice — welcoming and relaxed, perfect for a casual outing. The food was good and reasonably priced, living up to the Wetherspoon standard. The place was clean throughout, and the washrooms were surprisingly well maintained, which isn’t always the case in busy pubs. Overall, the place is aesthetically pleasing and well looked after. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!”
“The food was fantastic. The refurbished pub was a great improvement. The waitress was excellent. Such a nice place .will be back.cant complain.5 stars and well earned.”
“New cafe / restaurant on Watford high street and possibly one of my new favourites… they have a massive vegan menu and the food and service was incredible. The decor was also lovely so a 10/10 overall.”
“Good value food quickly prepared. The range of items on their menu is impressive for a cafe”
“Very helpful staff. It's very nice tasting food. Had the bacon cheese burger and the kids fish bites. Didn't have to wait too long for food or have to wait too long between the main meal and desert. Could do with a menu for younger kids who have less appetite. The breakfast the next morning was lovely. Only downfall to the breakfast was the eggs but that can't be helped when they are in the heated trays.”
