    Curzon Crescent Childrens Centre

    ★★★☆☆ 3.8
    Closed

“A Wonderful Space for Families – We Love It Here! Curzon Family Wellbeing Centre is such a special place. The space itself is amazing – bright, welcoming, and filled with so many toys and activities for little ones to enjoy. It’s the perfect environment for children to play, explore, and learn. We regularly attend the gardening sessions, and my toddler absolutely loves them! It’s become one of our favourite things to do together. A big shoutout to Jasmine, the gardener – she is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and just a joy to be around. I’ve learned so much from her, and her warm, caring nature makes the sessions even more special. I’m so happy we have a lovely, safe place like this to go to. It’s been such a positive part of our routine, and I’m truly grateful for the supportive environment Curzon provides for both parents and children.”

    The Child Development Centre

    ★★★☆☆ 3.7
    Closed

“My son attended the Child Development Centre after we had exhausted all other avenues through the NHS and essentially got nowhere. I am not disparaging the NHS, I think they are marvellous but they do not have the time or resources to fully help our children the way they need help in these circumstances. We had the Centre recommended to us and it has really changed our lives. The relief that someone was finally making sense of our son's behaviour and difficulties that he was having was immense. He would jump and scream at unexpected noises, he would hate any labels in clothes, he would zoom around the house causing mayhem (not deliberately, quite the opposite he was very happy), but we did fear he had ADHD. He was like Tigger from Winnie the Poo, bouncing around everywhere! His concentration was very poor, he was very silly and immature for his age, he wasn't able to sit and watch a DVD, read a book or play with one toy or game for any period of time, he would get bored very easily and be off to play with another toy or game. From a very young age he would have obsessions - firstly the Fire Service and he would not anywhere unless in a full fireman's uniform with a utility belt, he was 4 yrs old at this stage and then it changed to the Police (5yrs old) and then the Army (8yrs old) with each obsession taking over all of our lives in one way or another. One fact we did find interesting was that Dyspraxia often gets misdiagnosed as ADHD. He was diagnosed as having Dyspraxia traits and audio dyslexia. We received a very detailed report which made so much sense in terms of why he was behaving the way he was, but more importantly we started the programme that would definitely change all of our lives for the better. The programme is not a quick fix solution. You need to be dedicated and understand there will be times when it is frustrating and it seems you are making no progress then other times when it accelerate and the changes are amazing. Most people comment that he is like a different boy now and he really is. Once we were able to get rid of the reflexes he had retained the changes became really noticeable. He is so much calmer now, he can concentrate - he reads so many books now which we are delighted at! The screaming when he's startled has stopped and he's even more tolerant to labels! In the beginning we did the on-line checklist on the website and ticked far too many! However, I would highly recommend doing this as it give you a really good idea on whether there is a problem there that needs solving. My husband and I had the conversation about the cost of the treatment and I remember him saying 'this could be the best money we've ever spent' and he was absolutely right, it was. I would highly recommend going for an initial assessment to find out all about it. We originally met David and then Alex continued all of the appointments and treatments with our son. He is excellent with children, very professional with a firm but easy-going manner. If you decide to do it, follow all of the instructions, they really do know what they are talking about and you will get better results by following them to the letter. The programmes are medication free which I loved, this is a totally natural way to help your child be the best they can be!”

“I believe this nursery is great for my child. All people working here are smiling all the time we get greetings when we come in and out even though we are from different country. This place feel very secure for children. I want to thank specially to Mrs. Very who established a very strong connection with my child and with us as parents even if our child has moved to a different room. With this occasion I wish to thank all of the staff who are working very hard to keep all toddlers happy and making every day a special one for them and also for their parents. I believe we all should kindly appreciate people who work here and stop judging an event just because we have different issues at work or home or with another people and express our feelings in a bad way on whatever minor things happen in this nursery by being rude with staff.”

“Scribbles Nursery has truly been a blessing for our child over the past two months. We couldn't be happier with the nurturing and educational environment they provide. Our little one absolutely adores this place and eagerly looks forward to attending every single day. In fact, he gets a little sad if we have to miss a day! From the moment we first stepped foot into Scribbles Nursery, we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The staff members are simply amazing. They have gone above and beyond to make our child feel comfortable and loved. Their genuine care and attention towards him have made a world of difference in his experience. We cannot thank them enough! The educators at Scribbles Nursery are exceptional. They have an incredible talent for creating engaging and age-appropriate activities that not only entertain but also educate the children. Our child has learned so much during his time here. It's truly impressive to see how quickly he's developing new skills and knowledge under their guidance. Their dedication to fostering a love for learning is evident in everything they do. Communication between the nursery and parents is outstanding.
