“Booked a table last minute at The French Table and they manage to accommodate us for a colleagues birthday , from start to finish everything was merticulous. Great ambiance and the place is not overcrowded with many tables, they have 2 floors but the place is not too big. I asked for extras to be added on our table and in under 30 minutes they delivered. We had personalised menues with colleagues name on it. Everything i asked for, they delivered. Would definately visit again. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a Michelin type of a restaurant. Tasting menus, wine paring, good food, everything is just so done to perfection, the staff are so friendly.”

“Been to the restaurant for the Friday night with live music. One of the best nights yet at Rians. The chef and the owner attended to us personally to make sure our food was exactly up to our standards. Such a cozy, friendly and serene atmosphere. Cannot recommend the restaurant enough for the atmosphere, food and the friendly attending staff. Now it’s my regular. And the Greek music was addictive that night. Such a nice place for a decent family meal. The video of the music always taken literally at the beginning of the evening and it didn’t take long the restaurant filled up with the regulars and the visitors like me. Wow!!”

“A fantastic little spot with great food, ambiance and service. Very welcoming from the start, we didn’t book in advance but got a space at the bar for a bite to eat. Looking forward to our next visit to try more of their daily changing menu and will be going to try their sister restaurant Pique-Nique!”

“We went here for my fiancée's birthday, which was a Monday night. The first thing we noticed was the extremely polite and friendly service. When reserving I asked for them to make it low-key special, which they definitely did. The food was excellent (steak and fish special). The service was exceptional. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a Monday night dinner!”

“Sat a outside on a cute street with lots of small village charm. This is an adorable petit French bistro! Unfortunately the chicken dish was out, so I opted for the vegetarian item of the day. It's was delicious. I started with the French onion soup, per recommendations. It was good, but I regret not trying something else. Highly recommend stopping by after a visit to Kew!”

“Booked a table for two for the in-laws to have some time to themselves, they both were thoroughly pleased with their date, they enjoyed the Sunday lunch menu and really felt the staff went above and beyond to ensure they were looked after, especially my mother-in-law who has an intolerance to both gluten and dairy, she was prepared a roast that we thought she may not be able to enjoy. Thank you Chef, we appreciate you! I myself cannot wait to return for a roast as the one I had was exceptional upon my visit, was exceptional, you really do taste the aged beef! Check out the other days as they have great deals taking pace on different days of the week.”

“A true gem of a restaurant! I previously visited for a small drinks and canape reception and now returned for a business lunch with four colleagues. We were booked into the cute private dining room and had a fabulous experience. The service was impeccable. Attentive, professional, helpful, friendly. Agata runs a great restaurant. The food was delicious. Plentiful, tasty, well presented, filling - we all left feeling very happy and satisfied. A monthly rotated menu means that what they do is done well. There are daily specials, however they were having some internal issues which meant that specials were not available. This was unfortunate for the restaurant but had no impact on our group. Excellent selection of wines which are well priced. It is clearly a restaurant that is frequented by regulars, therefore it has a nice buzzy atmosphere. I will be returning very soon to try the November menu!”

“Went there eventually for my birthday. I have read Tim Hayward's review in 2012 and was always on the back of my mind to try it out. A Huge place of art decor french design remincient of the roaring 1920. Very busy and buzzy. Service was efficient and the food came quickly. Both of us had the french onion soup which was very tasty and umani. My wife had the Duck which was done pink and perfect. The accompanying sauce was very good. I had the venison bourguignon; meat was tender and the sauce was rich and tasty. Overalll solid French classics done well for reasonable price for London. Only caveat is the food came lukewarm rather then hotter as we usually would expected. Tim Haywood's review was correct. Great experience.”

“One of the best dinners I’ve had in London. We had a large group booking and had the private room downstairs. It is the best venue for a private dinner. The room was stunning, the service was amazing and everything was seamless. The menu and food was just incredible. All my guests messaged me the next day to say how much they enjoyed the evening. Would recommend 100%.”

“It’s a beautiful little French cafe at Kingston. We had a chicken and garlic wrap and chicken & bacon wrap with a cappuccino. The portion was a good size and it tasted delicious. We also had a pistachio cheese cake slice, it was good too. They had a good selection of desserts. Everything is reasonably priced. You can sit outside with a coffee and just watch the world go by. Would definitely recommend this place.”

“Came to Fulham Reach to visit friend. She took me to this French restaurant by the river. We came on a Friday afternoon around 2 o’clock. It was not too busy. We could choose outdoor or indoor. There is lunch deal from Monday to Friday. But i went a la cart. I ordered the snails. The garlic juice went really well with the bread. It is very flavourful and garlicky. I like a good duck confit. It was tasty however I found it wasn’t crispy enough like the authentic ones. The mashed potatoes next to the duck was so good. I would recommend this dish. My friend ordered the steak from lunch set deal. It was really good deal. During our stay, our server, a bloke from Malaysia served us very well. He kept adding water to our cups. he also spoke Cantonese with us. Great place to spend time with friends”

“Happened upon this place by accident. I was visiting Kenwood House (which was lovely), and afterwards, we walked around looking for a place to have lunch. We looked at Fish n Flame, and decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips. It proved to be a wise choice. The gentleman who served us was very professional. He took our order and when the dish arrived, it was awesome. I honestly do not think that I ever have had fish and chips which was any better than what I enjoyed today. The food was piping hot, the batter was as one would want, not soggy, but lovely and crisp. The sauce was delicious. The chap who looked after us, checked that all was too our liking, without being intrusive. I can recommend this venue wihout hesitation.”

“We booked on first table so had 50% off. The French onion soup was nothing short of sensational and I would come back for that alone. The duck breast was also delicious but it came with vegetables that were almost raw and too far from Al dente. It’s also very expensive. £4.50 for a small bottle of Coke Zero is insane. Staff were lovely though and a cosy atmosphere.”

“A chefs perspective of ottos it could not get more French when you walk in your transported to France. The owner is a French as they come! I thought the goats cheese soufflé was one of the best starters I’ve ever had. The scallops were also as good as it gets. The service on the starters wasn’t the best they got our starters mixed up the front of house manager took our order so that was his bad the younger waiter had to take the embarrassment for it!. I did find the front of house manager abir all the place pacing up and down the restaurant looking quite bored at times but he is good with customer with his old school approach and jokes and he’s certainly knows what he’s doing. It was quiet that night so maybe that was the mistake and the pacing up and down. As for the rack of lamb the theatre was great but the lamb was as good as roar in my opinio. I forgot how rare the French cook meat. That ruined it for me and in my opinion English peolple think that is to under cooked the worst part was the fat had not been rendered down and was very raw and tough also the whole lamb was under seasoned and it needed some sort of peas maybe as a purea?! It ruined rhe meal for me I said to my sister I’ve only cooked a rack of lamb a few times so these guys should get it bang on cooking it most nights but they messed it up big time! They should ask how you want it cooked because once it’s been carved that’s it you will have to flash it in a pan which will ruin it to cook it more! execute the cooking right b4 you bring the theatre out I would say I have never had pomme soufflés b4 I wanted to get them to see what the hype is about they were exactly how they should be looks wise a work of art crafted by a mater of his trade! They are extremely hard to make so hats of ro the chef who did them for me sadly as I expected rhe flavour was not great just like a crisp with no seasoning the salt had not even stuck to them again all about the theatre but lacking in seasoning. They would be better served with some sort of Hollandaise or aioli not the jus. The Apple tart was to die for and the chocolate pot and the after dinner truffles were not very impressive . It’s a great restaurant I would not return I would say it’s the sort of place most people would only go once I would not say it’s worth the price tag for normal people anyway. I know my food and how hospitality runs so I like to leave an honest chefs review of restaurants. I would like to say the younger guys in the team were very professional and knew what they were doing shame they have to make up mistakes of others but it was an experience I wanted to show my sister a higher class of food and service and it did deliver just a shame rhe lamb was not right. Whej it came to the bill I was not willing to pay the 12.5% tip I wanted to tip what I thought it was worth they wanted £30 service charge well I put 10£ for it and of course like all fancy places and most places in general in london they make you feel bad for it and it can create a scene my £10 was a fair tip they shpuid of been happy with considering the service they had given me and tbh this bugs me about these places I’m not from the 1% my bill is already very expensive why embarrass me in front of other guests and my sister not all guests have endless amounts of money and don’t take it personally if people cannot pay the service charge it’s optional some people are hard up and save for a meal like this. Thanks to ottos for the experience it’s something I will not forgot the French know how to eat drink and live that’s for sure there food brings joy all round the globe they are very passionate people when it comes to hospitality.”
