“Lovely pool, it is split into a main pool and learner pool so that’s nice for swimmers. Lane and general swim available. My daughter has swimming lessons here and the standard of teaching is high. The kids are pushed enough to be competitive but not so much that it’s negative competition. There are windows down two sides of the pool so when the sun is low you get beautiful dappled light in the water which feels lovely to swim in. One of the most unpretentious swimming pools around! Check it out next time you want a swim!”

“I’ve been a member at Fitness First for a while now, and I absolutely love it. The classes are challenging and fun, Jamie’s SPARR classes, in particular, always push me to go beyond what I thought I could do, and are so much fun, I tend to attend every week! I also do personal training sessions with Mo, who is great and very professional. He always motivates me to push myself and improve, and I can really see the progress I’m making. The staff and other members are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the atmosphere so positive and enjoyable.”

“The main reason I'm going to this gym is because I follow my personal trainer Bernard (@pt.bernard on instagram) around wherever he goes! He's been training me since 2018 and my life hasn't been the same since. He's supportive, checks in with me every session to tailor it to my needs that day, and has given me lots of health/diet/fitness advice besides only in our sessions. He's made me lots stronger so I can be a confident base in partner acrobatics. All in all, I really go to this Fitness First for him. :) The gym itself is ok, the sauna and steamroom are nice, but the whole place is deeply in need of a renovation.”

Highly recommend this gym, things are constantly improving - equipment is being changed, new equipment, new spin bikes. I know some reviews are harsh but it is the best gym in the area. “I have been visiting the Cheam centre for the last 3 months as part of a group working on "Joint Pain Management" and have been extremely pleased with our health coach Steven who has provided me and the group, not only with excellent coaching to improve our fitness with the aim of reducing pain and becoming more active, it has also provided us with logical and much welcomed ideas to make small changes on our day to day activities that are really making a big difference to me and others on the group. The staff at the Cheam center I have met are also very welcoming and friendly and the various exercise machines I have used are very good and simple to use.
