Every time I’ve been to Purley Dragon, the food has been incredible — always hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The portions are generous, and you can tell everything is made with care. The staff are genuinely some of the nicest people you’ll meet. They’re polite, welcoming, and always happy to accommodate special requests or dietary needs. You can tell they really care about their customers and want everyone to have a great experience. The restaurant is always clean, cosy, and has such a warm atmosphere — it’s perfect for a takeaway night or a casual meal out. I’ve tried a lot of Chinese places around the area, and none come close to the taste or service here. If you’re hesitating because of the negative reviews, don’t. Give Purley Dragon a try — you’ll see for yourself how wrong those comments are. Once you do, you’ll never go anywhere else for Chinese again!”

“Longcroft Kenley/Gaby was amazing - her children too! As someone who was extremely nervous to leave her boys while I was away Gaby did an amazing job at making me feel at ease! I was sent daily pictures of them which was so nice/reassuring. The place itself is beautiful & there isn’t a lot of other kitties staying, so Gaby isn’t overly busy & is able to spend quality time with everyone. I will be bringing the boys back next time I go away… this will be there home away from home!”

Astraea the receptionist is always polite, helpful and calm. Evelyn the dental nurse is very reassuring, caring and professional. I had to have an unscheduled extraction recently and Dr Patel explained all the alternative treatments very clearly. Once I had opted for the extraction, his work was efficient, painless and swift. “Tried this place again as first time when it opened I was a little disappointed with the miso soup and gunkan which I found to be too salty and flavourless. This did not disappoint this time, the bubble tea was refreshing (ordered with less ice and less sugar), the food was delicious and decent portion sizes. Could pick up wasabi, pickled ginger and soy sauce for free as additions. Very friendly customer service, patient and helpful with all my questions and changing my mind. I plan to return here again, lovely place!”

“I really liked the atmosphere, it reminded me a lot of Italy. The food is excellent, the dishes are beautiful, the wine is very good. The prices vary, but overall it is not expensive. The atmosphere is not very large, so if there are a lot of people it is a good idea to make a reservation, especially on the weekend. But I will come back if possible. It is not wheelchair accessible, there is a small staircase at the entrance.”
