Though Andy could get hold of the most the parts, he spent 30mins of his time to guide me through various checks and procedures first to see if they cure the problems. I think we both knew the items were probably not worth repairing due to their age, meaning something else will go wrong sooner or later and that mean't more costs for me. I am sure there are some engineers who would have pushed the repairs knowing more would go wrong soon and more than likely they will get the repeat business, not Andy.
