“This cafe is run by the absolute sweetest staff, the coffee is good and there are always dairy alternatives available; the eggs royale are fantastic and the vibes are always nice inside. It only took a couple of visits for them to remember my drink order and make me feel like a regular already. There’s an upstairs that is quite nice and quiet and there are a few tables outside which is perfect for a sunny day. I would definitely recommend!”

“Very nice and clean authentic cafe. They literally cooked specifically for us as many people just came there for a coffee. Coffee is really tasty (it is very difficult to find anything decent in the UK). But our breakfast was delicious! And also beautiful serving. The staff is great as well. The cafe is located exactly in front of the train station so it is a very good place to chill before or after the journey”

“The Mute Swan, by the river and opposite Hampton Court Palace. A thoroughly delightful place with a good range of both cask and keg beers. A fine wine list and an exciting menu. Service is impeccable and my lager was fresh and cold. The place has a spiral staircase leading to the upstairs restaurant area, we love a spiral staircase! A super place for a spring (in your step) drink.”

The food and service are consistently excellent, and the recent updates to the seating and décor have really enhanced the experience. It now feels even warmer and more comfortable inside. “My wife and I loved our Sunday night stay at the Mitre Hotel. What did we like? Wonderful situation on the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary and generous glass of wine on arrival. Large, comfortable and quiet room - we were upgraded to The Royal Mews (many thanks for that) - with complimentary coffee, biscuits etc. Excellent breakfast buffet taken in the lovely round room with wonderful views of the Thames. Settle in Sunday is a really great deal. Would we stay at The Mitre again? Like a shot!”

“My family and I dined at the Kings Arms Hotel on 16.9.23. From the start, staff are warm, welcoming and accommodating. They got us seated immediately and brought over extra chairs as we required them. The impeccable service continued throughout, including inquiring how our meal was regularly and providing colouring pencils and sheets for the children with us. The food was standard but presented very well and all of it arrived at the same time, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we so enjoyed our visit. We would recommend this restaurant and its brilliant service to others.”

“Had great food today. I had crushed avo on sourdough topped with crumbled feta and chilli flakes. I also asked if they could add scrambled eggs. No problem and had a really good portion. They also sell red tea which is great as not every where does. Service was also good and in a great setting sitting outside overlooking the cricket ground and river. I’ll be back!”

“It was quite a warm day for the time of year, so the walk through Bushy Park got our appetite going on our way to this lovely little restaurant. We ate here with friends and children and there was plenty to choose from. I’m definitely a sucker for a decent Italian dish. I love cooking it as much as I love eating it, so when they brought out our meals at La Fiamma I had pretty high expectations having heard it was good. Except it wasn’t just good. It was genuinely exceptional! Every one of us around the table ate until we had to undo our belts a notch! The wine was also a great drop and paired beautifully with the dishes we had chosen, even if they were perhaps a little punchy on price for what they were, but it didn’t detract from the experience. This is definitely now a firm favourite for the location!”

Small businesses invariably face logistical problems in busy periods and don’t think this was any different. Customer service from Sha was exemplary (emails and phone calls were received) and an apology video from the owner was highly appreciated. Quality of clothes was really good and would definitely order again.”
