“Charming restaurant less than 5 mins from Surbiton Rail station and opposite Sainsbury’s. The old Post Office building has been repurposed as a restaurant, fitted out in a sustainable way with genuine Turkish designs and materials. My server had a Masters in restaurant design so was knowledgeable and happy to point out some of the features. The coffee was excellent and the Nutella and sea-salt cookie was something I’d never tasted before and had a light and delicate texture. Good access for wheelchairs and my go to coffee stop in Surbiton when on foot or a motorcycle or bicycle with parking right outside the door.”

“Family favourite! We've been coming here for years and the food has always been good. We highly recommend the Lamb Shank Jalfrezi and the Tandoori King Prawn. But all the food is very good. We really appreciate that since the pandemic they haven't raised their prices and the food is still great quality. The service is always very good and thoughtful too. We will always rave about The Agra!”

“I went to this place before my shift finished to order some food and told the boy serving i would be back in 10-15min.It was quiet and The boy was serving on his own at the front (young boy, named Janes, sorry for misspelling). He was giving fast and friendly service and apparently also doing deliveroo orders! He had my food ready by the time i came back and he kept it warm on the side for me. Portioning was great! Nice detail to write “Enjoy” on the lid :)”

The ladies at S.S.Flowers were really helpful and one of them even helped me carry them down the road. They went above and beyond! Furthermore, the flowers were still blooming 3 weeks later. This pizza took me straight back home with its nostalgic flavors and that special touch that only authentic Persian-style pizza can bring. “Mr Walid and Lena are beautiful people and they serve delicious food. I have been coming here everyday for over a year and they honestly treat me so warm and friendly, like family. The food is fresh and seasoned to perfection. I often struggle with what to pick but I can never go wrong with the chicken Tawouk or chicken shawarma or the lamb kofte. No matter what you order it will be made to your liking and you will not regret giving their food a try. The service is fast and efficient. Everything is well worth the price! The food keeps me all day during my studies. I promise you will be a regular customer as I am for them. Stepping into the their establishment is one of the best decisions , I’ve ever made.”

“What a wonderful little restaurant! Despite having very high expectations due to all the great reviews, my family and I were still surprised at how great this place was. The sashimi pieces were lovely and thick, their signature rolls were delicious but our favourite was the udon (unfortunately not pictured as we were too busy slurping it up!)- the noodles were cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this place for the delicious food and the lovely attentive staff!”

“Popped in for lunch on the spur of the moment and thank goodness we did. We were greeted warmly and given the menu and chose, I had lamb souvlaki which was absolutely delicious, the chunks weren't massive like in other restaurants which I don’t like, they were cooked to perfection with strong Mediterranean flavours, my wife had a salad that had avocado and Halloumi with a trio of dips to go with again the flavours were perfect, the atmosphere was great and we will definitely be going again as it’s local for us. “Disability accessible. Ground floor entrance. Toilets on the ground floor. Staff welcoming and excellent hosts, they were very attentive and we felt well cared for.. Clean and well organised. The food is fresh, delicious, and has a good portion. We had more than we could manage, and they provided takeaway trays so we could take it home. There are lots of options for vegetarians. They will also tailor your curry to your taste, i.e., add chillies, make it more spicy or hot for you. The best bit was the trays that were provided with the poppadoms. The variety of choices and flavours were really good. Best chutneys and presentation ever. The restaurant is on the main road with bus stops, which is good. They provide takeaways and plenty of seating for cosy small tables or large groups. We went early so and it was not full but it got busier as the evening went on. One thing I like is to listen to is Indian music, which adds to my experience of the culture and atmosphere. However, the music was cheesy pop like Taylor Swift, but it was not distracting. Thank you for the complimentary liquor and chocolates at the end of our meal.”

“I ordered a bottle of dream chaser on Alcohol Ninja's web site not realising it was in London. A gentleman rang me and said he would try to get a courier for me instead of refunding my money. A lot of couriers he said did not transport alcohol. They found a courier and sent it to me. This was a present for my Daughter for Xmas. I received the bottle and I cannot thank them enough for going over and above for me. Great experience.”
