“This is an absolutely amazing place to enjoy a great quality cafe or any hot/iced drinks. They also do delicious and healthy gluten free & vegan cakes, treats and food. The staff is very friendly and always makes you feel at home. By far the best café around, I'd highly recommend!”
“Another absolute hidden gem in south East London. We just stopped here for a quick coffee and it was so good, the espresso is really easy drinking and BIG, if you want a decent sized espresso this is the place to go! Also the guy making the coffee of potentially the nicest man in all SE London coffee places, he's so friendly. We'll definitely be back here for drinks, snacks and music another time.”
“First time here, absolutely wonderful. The staff made us feel right at home. The food was very good for a very reasonable price. The bathrooms were nice and clean. We'll definitely be back and are happy we discovered this place.”
“It's simply one of the best coffee shops in Hackney. Really, they do great coffee. It's also a carefully curated grocery, where each bottle of wine, beer and food is chosen with a keen and discerning eye. The owners are lovely people, proud to call it my local coffee shop!”
“Great place for a lovely breakfast in sunny day have indoor and outdoor area. Very friendly owner. Nice coffee and panini! Very good price. May find free parking nearby!”
“Thought there were no good Cafe's in Swanley until I found this little gem. They even gave me an extra poached egg for free with my brunchfast because they lost a small part of the white on one, which honestly, wasn't even necessary. Good food, Lots of options (Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinners), friendly staff, and friendly guests too. Will exceed your expectations, hidden off the beaten track.”
“I had lovely experience at Canons Cafe. Rana was extremely polite and a nice smile, a happy face in the morning. The food was very filling and tasty, love to come here on the weekend with the grandkids.”
“Where do I start, when I first entered this establishment, I was skeptical. Within two minutes, I was taken back by the service provided by the staff. The food is absolutely exceptional and if I’m being honest, I would describe this establishment as the best cafe in the Bromley borough.”
“Highly recommended. Very friendly staff from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Great food. A fantastic family run business. Well worth a visit.”
“Really lucky to call this place my local. You simply can’t beat the service here, rain or shine they’re always happy to serve because they genuinely care. Aside from the experience, the food is great and very affordable and made or order, and the coffee is freshly made and tastes incredible, they also often have a choice of blends too, to further suit your taste preferences. It’s really hard to go anywhere else and feel this level of hospitality! I will always return, whether it’s for a hangover-cure bacon bagel, or a quick brew before work in the week.”
“A lovely place: friendly and very reasonably priced home cooked food. I recommend the soup - usually a choice of two.”
“Cute and spacious Japanese cafe in a quiet street behind busy Highbury corner. Staff were lovely and served me a tasty iced matcha perfect for 28 degrees London. I’d love to come back and try their menu which had a good set of options for lunch. Perfect for reading a book or low key catch up with a friend.”
“Excellent food and great coffee. The most wonderful staff made my mum and I feel very welcome on a very cold day. Faultless, thank you”
“Very tipical and authentic italian restaurant! Food is freshly made every single day! Pizzas are exceptional! Francesco, Paola and Nicola are superb hosts who make your experience in their restaurant unforgettable! The internal italian dely is well furnished with italian products and the available football table is the "cherry on top of the cake". We loved it.❤️”
“Very good breakfast served until late, reasonable prices, friendly staff and pleasant terrace. Ticks all the boxes!”
“Was planning on going to the popular cafe next door but the line was over 2 hours and so we decided to to give this place a go as the food looked good and it was busy but no queue. Very happy that we did as it was a lovely breakfast. The full English had everything you could want and was fresh. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was lovely too. Amazing bubble and squeak. Don’t bother waiting in the queue for next door. Come here!”
“Really unique and cute cafe truck, offers simple food choices, they have jacket potatoes, panini, bagels and some rice dishes. Their carrot cakes look very nice too. There are seats by the riverside and a bridge that can rotate 360 degrees, a hidden gem in London. I had the tuna olive cheese panini, it was okay for the price I paid, the staffs were very friendly.”
“So on "Dia de Muertos" and having been made up as calaveras for the Columbia Road Day of the Dead festival.nearby, where else to head but a Mexican restaurant? Google directed us to nearby Santo Remedio, which turned out to be a good choice. The manager welcomed us warmly and managed to fit in our party of three in between bookings. Our friendly waitress Olivia was great too, explaining how the veggie dishes could be adapted to be vegan with vegan cheese substitutes so everyone in our group was able to enjoy the food. The food itself was very flavourful. We chose butternut squash tacos, hibiscus and cactus quesadillas, and black bean side (hold the cheese for vegan version), and the lovely refreshing hibiscus agua fresca drink. The place has a fun friendly vibe, just right for a Saturday night evening with friends.”
“Positioned right on the river Thames. Sit and enjoy an ice cream or coffee and light lunch. On a beautiful day it's heaven to sit there and then stroll into Kingston or Surbiton. Great selection of vegan items”
“A fantastic café. Wonderful atmosphere. Welcoming and friendly. Fantastic choice of food and drink. Something for everyone. Waitresses are efficient and happy to serve. The café is very clean including toilet. Prices are affordable for great food nicely presented. This is a super café. Well worth a visit as you won't be disappointed.”
“So friendly and welcoming. The signature pistachio macchiato was outstanding. Well worth the visit, slightly outside the Grandmaster Palace. I'll definitely be back again”
“I visit Detour regularly. It's a lovely café with tasty, very well presented food. The coffee is delicious & the staff are all so friendly - I love having chats with them! 5 stars all round ⭐️”
“I’ve been meaning to visit for some time and it’s lived up to my expectations. I was greeted by friendly staff standing behind an impressive display of cakes and salads. I chose the avocado toast on olive bread and a flat white. My friend had a porridge. We both loved our food. We sat in the sunny courtyard. It was all round wonderful experience. I highly recommend Chris Kitch!”
“Since new management it has been a treat to go there.. So helpfully, staff are great especially Mehmet, he makes you feel welcome and has such a great attitude. This will now be my regular go to cafe because of the tasty food, presentation and Mehmet of course.”
“The Moreish Cafe Deli is a hidden gem in the heart of Bloomsbury, London. Located at 76 Marchmont Street, WC1N 1AG, the Deli is owned by the lovely host Jenny. Jenny is a wonderful cook and almost everything you can get at the Moreish Café Deli, is handmade by her. Also, the place is eco friendly: all cutlery and plates are biodegradable - approved by several Professors in environment at LSHTM, UCL and LSE. The owner is really friendly, always with a smile on (behind her mask now), ready for a chat, exchange of ideas and knowledge. She is also very kind and I have seen her in many occasions help people outside on the street. Very open minded person, always ready to defend anyone! A superb Café Deli! There are a great diversity of drinks and foods (vegetarian and vegan): - fresh juices, fresh teas, iced teas, coffee (espreso, americanos latte, cappuccino, flat white, mocha, macchiato), golden milk, hot hats and different types of milks (regular, soy, almond, oat) - gelatos & sorbettos (all super mouth-watering, gluten free and vegan) - gluten free cakes (vegan fruit cakes very low in added sugar, vegetarian baked lemon cheesecake, vegetarian chocolate brownie) - a variety of pastries (pain croissants, almond croissants, pain au chocolate, pain au raisin, pain aux chocolate & almond) - multigrain loaves - a big variety of vegetarian and vegan sandwiches - a large assortment of vegan and vegetarian breakfasts and lunches (See photos for the most recent menu) The menu changes with the seasons, according to lovely Jenny. Depending on the season and festivities, the Deli adjusts their menu and decoration. And to top it all, Jenny now sells the most extraordinary plants I have ever seen. As she usually says, “with the pandemic, people went away and the plants came in”. Now that we are all back to “normal”, we are enjoying the Moreish Cafe Deli at its best, with space outside and inside in the middle of this little wonderful jungle that Jenny created! All of this in the heart of London! A could not recommend it more! Go and enjoy!! P.S.: having in mind the quality (all handmade) and big quantity of the portions of each food and drink, I truly believe it is all at a very fair price. Especially when compared to the local cafes in the area, where prices are similar, but with low quality and quantity of food and drinks and lack of friendly waiters… Hence, my option to always go to the Moreish Café Deli. P.S. 2: I also agree with the policy of no laptops. The vibe of the deli is to serve delicious food and drink and enjoy a moment in the day. Not to spend hours using a device and not consuming. P.S. 3: Ice-creams and sorbets are SUPERB!!!!!”
“A gem of a place, we received a lovely warm welcome and were made to feel at home by the generous owner. Thank you! We enjoyed our tea and baklava, which was just the right level of sweetness, not overpowering at all. The ambience included a gentle buzz of conversation and was very relaxed. Highly recommended and we'll visit again.”
“Really good cafe doing American style breakfast but also other styles such as Mediterranean, English and caribbean. The portions are huge, food is delicious and service is so friendly. Be aware that the chicken wings in breakfast is very very sweet. If you’re not keen on sweet breakfasts, go for a more traditional breakfast. Love it here tho and coffee was good. This is a nice place for a fun breakfast outing on special occasions. I’m not a fan of the iridescent knife and fork but that’s minor !”
“Really nice place.. Airy relaxed, good coffee nice selection menu (smashed avo and crispy bacon on sour dough!!!!”
“The scone with jam and cream might be the best one I've ever had. Lovely location in the garden centre.”
“We went for the first time today. Lovely cooked breakfast, friendly staff, light and clean interior. We’ll definitely be back.”
