The borders are magnificent. The glasshouse is a cathedral of tropical splendour. Even the ducks appear to have degrees in botany. You don’t visit Wisley you take pilgrimage. Spring brings tulips arranged with mathematical perfection. Summer is dahlia heaven. Autumn is a masterclass in fiery foliage. Winter? Even the frost looks curated. The gift shop deserves its own postcode and a security guard you will leave with at least one book you didn’t need, a mug you don’t have room for, and seeds for plants you cannot pronounce. This is simply the Wisley effect. Bring: Comfortable shoes A packed lunch (or a willing wallet the café is delicious but not for the faint-pursed) A camera, because the borders humiliate your own garden mercilessly If you love plants, go. If you don’t love plants, go anyway you will by the end.”

“We visited The Clock House in May. Having never been whilst it was Drakes we were excited to see if it lived up to it's previous reputation. I can safely say it did - and we had a brilliant experience. It's a close shave between this restaurant and Stovells in Chobham for the title of most special restaurant we've visited in Surrey. Clock House may just take it - as not only is the food first class, so is the atmosphere, dining room and service. Looking forward to the next special occasion which might warrant a return here. Let's hope they achieve a Michelin star too - they deserve it.”

Wing is super understanding about our ever chaotic schedule and it is a life saver when juggling work commitments. And Jeremy clearly loves them and treats them with great care. Great service. “Rang 8am on Friday morning on behalf of my husband who was in terrible pain with a swollen face, was offered emergency appointment 2 hours later as a new patient! Many thanks to Reem the receptionist for fitting us in so quickly and to Dr. Aksa the dentist for her swift assessment and prescribing of much needed antibiotics. (Apologies if I have misspelt names!) Her chair side manner was excellent and my husband felt very reassured by her advice. “Not even joking, the food was AMAZING. The onion was so soft and crunchy and everything tasted so so fresh, the chicken , the kibbeh, the salad was AMAZING.The dessert was nice and sweet too. Not to mention the service was so so good and Bashara and Nelly were so sweet. I was with my 2 friends and they were so interactive and made good conversation and the atmosphere was comfortable and we honestly felt so welcome there. You should definitely go if you like Lebanese / Middle Eastern food or if you are Lebanese yourself , and missing that authentic taste because you will DEFINITELY find it there . I have nothing bad to say at all . xxx”

“Went to chobham Adventure Farm, the food was lovely and very healthy, their were multiple choices of play for example: soft play, large outdoor playpen, sandpit and a bouncy pillow. “We are delighted with our new kitchen from The Surrey Kitchen Company as well as the associated work. The kitchen is within a large open-plan space and so as well as supplying and fitting the kitchen we asked them to decorate the whole area. The kitchen looks great and is of a very high standard. On our first visit to their showroom Rachel explained the various options and we were given samples to take home. Victoria then visited us and came up with a brilliant design with some great suggestions of her own that we hadn’t thought of as well as going along with our initial ideas. The computer generated images gave an overall picture of what it was going to look like and we were then able to make some tweaks and try out different colours etc. At no time did we fell pressured to make up our mind and now it’s all finished we appreciate how realistic the computer images were. The quality of all the workmanship, from installation to decorating is excellent. What we also appreciated was how pleasant, polite and cooperative everyone was. Nothing was too much trouble, last minute ideas and late changes were accommodated, and they cleared up well at the end of each day. Alan, the owner of the business, project managed and remained involved throughout. The various specialists he brought in were all highly skilled – everything was accomplished to an exceptional standard. Special mention and thanks to Jamie who fitted the kitchen and to Stephen who decorated. It was completed on time even though there were the inevitable snags. When it was realised that two of the doors were the wrong colour and a couple of the handles were missing then new doors and more handles were immediately ordered and arrived within a few days without causing any delay to the project. We highly recommend this company, they are extremely professional and above all really pleasant people to deal with.”
