“Visited the Gucci store at Heathrow Airport recently and had a genuinely pleasant experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly by the staff who were not only professional but incredibly friendly and patient. We were looking to try on a few pairs of trainers, and the team went above and beyond to help us find the right sizes and styles. They never rushed us, even though it was quite a busy time. Their knowledge of the products was impressive, and they made helpful suggestions based on comfort and fit. What really stood out was how they made us feel valued — taking their time, offering honest opinions, and making the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. “Update in 2025: No longer VAT-free. Better off buying in France (but the stock is limited) and detaxing. Sales team were helpful and kind and were happy to explain that the tax situation changed since my previous purchase. Lots of WOCs and classic items. No beige or nude WOCs since those are often hard to find. 2018: VAT-free Chanel store at Heathrow (VAT-free if you’re a non-EU resident)! There’s another store at Terminal 5 too if you’re looking for something hard to find (I believe they will call and ask for you). Staff are helpful and professional. Was able to browse and complete a purchase of a purse within a 10 minute span or less (flight was departing soon). The saleswoman was able to get the purchase done efficiently and get me out the door to my flight.”
