“I came here as an emergency when I found my prepared meal at my lodgings had been taken (another story..). The food quality and quantity were a pleasant surprise, with very helpful, friendly staff. To top the experience off they were also showing the Champions League semi final - great atmosphere.”

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a golden batter that was spot on. You can tell they use quality ingredients and care about what they’re serving. “I ordered through Uber, the food was immaculate! We ordered the buy one get one free ‘hot one burger’ with American fries and cheesy jalapeño, came to around £22. I love spicy food and the burger was just perfect! My burger looked like the picture they have on the menu. Fully satisfied with the flavours, worth every single penny. If I could eat burgers all day this would be the place I would order from.”

Like… is this going to be another chaotic, Bangla-fusion-gone-wrong, 47-page menu, customer-service-optional situation? Or just maybe a proper Italian spot that makes you think, “Hey hey hey… we might have something here.” Well, I’m glad to report: this place is firmly in the hey hey hey category. The lasagne and the carbonara (halal, of course) absolutely slapped. One bite and I was instantly transported back to my backpacking days in Milan and Rome minus the hostel bunk beds and questionable Wi-Fi. The pizza? Banging. The pasta? Spot on. The lasagne? A hug from Nonna herself. Now yes… I do question their 1,000-item menu, including a full English breakfast, burgers and probably a weather forecast. But somehow, this Italian-Bengali joint is a hidden gem, and the guys in the kitchen genuinely do the Italian dishes the Italian way. Pay them a visit. Support a local business (in cash, IYYK). They do accept card as well but there are some cash deals for collection which are great. The atmosphere and tables are like an east end cafe but the food is banging. Your taste buds will thank you and me.”

“I recently tried APR Chicken Pizza, and I was blown away by both the pizza and the chicken! The pizza was perfectly cooked — crispy crust, generous toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Every bite was full of flavor. But what really surprised me was their chicken — so juicy, crispy, and full of seasoning. It’s hard to find a place that nails both pizza and chicken, but APR does it effortlessly. The staff was friendly and service was quick. You can tell they care about quality. “My wife and I were craving noodle soup, so we visited this place. It was lovely inside, and the customer service was excellent. They gave us complimentary prawn crackers when we arrived. We tried their Big Bow Noodle Soup with beef in Udon Soup—it was amazing and arrived quickly. Highly recommend this place. The staff were lovely, and they even gave us a gift as we were heading out. We’ll definitely be back soon!”

“Thankful for a very decent pizza place local to us. Tried a couple times now and must say, it’s better than most pizza places around us. The two pizzas I ordered (Sriracha smile and Mumbai maddens) were cooked well, had great crusts, clean, never oily and toppings were flavoursome and of good quality - a must try! I went for one thin crust and one original crust. I forgot to take proper pictures before I delved in but will do next time. Their skin on fries were very nice and had a crunch (I know what you’re thinking, it’s only fries but these things matter to some). Most other local pizza places are fast food joints who want to do everything and cannot get a simple pizza right, they are often oily with too much dough and use low quality ingredients. For my next order, I will explore different flavour pizzas from Depot Pizza and try their wings… Ciao…Arrivederci!”

“First time going to Eighty's Kitchen and it did not disappoint! I had the jerk tofu which they kindly did as a student meal (normally only Jerk chicken) but I'm vegan and was heading to an exam and didn't want to feel too full. The jerk tofu and rice were incredible! I would have had peas and rice but they were in the process of cooking. Honestly I can't recommend this place enough. The food was excellent and the customer service was top notch! If I lived closer I would be becoming a regular here. *Not, the jalof rice isn't vegan.”
