Safe learning environments in Welling

“We’ve sent both our DS to this nursery over the last 3 years. The consistency of care is fantastic; same consistent carers mean they have really taken care and helped our sons to develop. They worked with us through any “leaps”, teething or potty training situations. The chef David has been amazing, catering to their dietary needs (vegetarian, no onion/ garlic) with a smile and enthusiasm. The boys over the years have really enjoyed each day and their time especially with the Montessori approach. We get verbal feedback at the end of each day (whether a quick brief or more detailed as required). We loved that the boys were taken outside to the green common next door whenever feasible and were exposed weekly to music afternoons and exercise / sport sessions. They come back having painted, played, read books, learnt about culture and everything in between. The carers have been amazing - Kim, Rosa, Camilla, Lucy, Tiana, Prima, Cara, Leena, and recently Saheeda - we’ve known most of these over the last 3 years if not all of them (and they are still there!) - that consistency of presence and care has been incredible in providing a “second home” to our children. They know our boys, and saw them grow up from less than 12 months of age to 3 years. It was a really warming and caring environment which helped nurture our sons at such a young age. The love given to them (even at their worst times) was and has been invaluable. We’ve (all of us) had a truly happy experience with the fortune green team. From our perspective and from what I heard from parents at other nurseries, this is the one of the best nurseries in West Hampstead; despite others perhaps being more convenient location wise, or “newer”. Finally, this review has not come as a one-off assessment or as a new parent who recently joined; it’s over 2-3 years of experience with two very different type of DS. “Having recently had to say goodbye to our 12 year old Northern Inuit, I wanted to add to my old, stars-only review. He was with Spring Lodge from the age of 12 weeks, and the service provided throughout has been second to none. He was a complicated soul, with many issues through his life, and a number of surgeries during which he was cared for in an exemplary manner. Nobody was ever intimidated by his size and appearance which was something we faced a lot in the "real world", even if he was affectionately nicknamed "The Beast" by Neil! The support staff are magnificent.”

“Sutherland has been a great nursery! Our son really enjoyed his time there, but he had to leave due to relocation. The highlight was the staff who were very kind and sweet. My son settled very well after a couple of weeks. He often wanted a morning cuddle from the staff with a smile on his face when I dropped him off in the morning. They did lots of fun activities, like making cards, costume party, celebration for national book day and sensory activities. The management team is very responsive. When I asked about the dietary plan and requested more meals with meat/fish, they acted in a few days to increase to 4 days/week with meat/fish. We also like their onsite kitchen so all the food could be prepared freshly for our son :) Their financial manager Julia is very friendly and helpful. She usually replies my email promptly with detailed answers. When my son needed to leave after giving notice, they made some adaptation for our schedule and waived some of the fee. That was very appreciated! We were a bit shocked by the 48hr quarantine policy regardless of the child's illness. That was challenging for us as two full-time working parents, but the manager said that policy will be reviewed in the future. Overall, our experience with Sutherland was great!”

They are working really closely with my daughter to speed up her language and emotional development and I couldn't be more happy of the results! She is now really chatty and much more confident! “This the best nursery I’ve ever come across. The staff are always doing their best to help improve with the development of the children. Qualified, very professional and most caring. I’ve visited many nurseries prior to finding this nursery and easily far much better in terms of providing social and learning activities. Now I have peace of mind. ““Kindred Nursery is the best in the area! The nursery manager is very supportive and accommodating, and the staff are amazing. My child struggled to settle in a previous nursery, but here he quickly felt comfortable and was happily staying for 5 hours. “We have been using these kennels for our dogs, esta and bugsy, for nearly 7 years . They/our dogs love going there when I pull in once, sometimes twice a year they both go crazy/excited and always remember the place every time. The staff go above and beyond every time, and my dogs love them also. This year, there is a grooming service at the kennels, which is a win for us picking up our clean, fluffy dogs is such a bonus, and the groomer Nat did such an amazing job .”

Her communication was excellent, she replied quickly to all my messages and kept me updated every step of the way. “The process of settling our child was amazing. He settled immediately into the setting and the teachers took his needs as a foremost consideration. The teachers he has had in the past 9 months have been outstanding and the care he has received has been as close to what we as parents would give. The meals offered are simply amazing! He loves the variety offered to him and has never complained once about it. The management is very flexible and accommodating to parents in terms of extra days, time off, etc. The extra curricular programs provided are so fun filled and my son enjoys every bit of it! In the words of my son on his days off, "I wanna go to schooooool!"”

“I’ve had Adam and Dan working in my home for the past 2 weeks,I can’t praise them enough,they were polite and professional and talked me through everything that they were doing. “A few weeks back I was collecting my daughter from her classes in the centre and I purposely arrived a little earlier so that I would have time for my mid day prayer. I asked the lady at reception if the centre had a religious room. She was a little unhelpful and abrupt with an immediate no without apology. Not long after an absolute lovely gentleman by the name of Joe asked if I just needed a room which I replied yes he then guided me to a back room that had very dim beautiful lighting and only housed a ping pong table. I was so grateful. Just that small act of consideration and kindness made all the difference and immediately changed my mind about my initial interaction with the receptionist. Again thank you so much Joe. Your kindness went a very long way.”
