“Absolutely delicious! We had a chicken tikka biryani and a chicken tikka karahi, delivered to eat at home, and the food was outstanding. My biryani was perfectly cooked to my preferred level of heat, and was packed with meat, the sauce full of vegetables. The karahi likewise had big tender chunks of chicken, and the onions brought a lovely sweetness to the sauce. The portions were generous too :) I'll certainly be ordering from there again.”

“The community rebuilt this park cafe and it is an excellent facility enjoyed by everyone who uses the park and Claygate Primary School. On a sunny weekend you will see many groups and families playing games, having fun, eating ice creams, with drinks etc. Food gets 4 stars only because it is not Michelin starred.”

“Absolutely fabulous lunch, we have never seen such an extensive menu - I am disabled, the proprietor and a member of staff literally carried me in from the pavement into the restaurant on one of their chairs, I could not ask for such exemplary kindness and the food and the choices were out of this world! We cannot recommend this gem opposite Claygate Green more highly!”

“Genuinely nice family running the shop. Very friendly atmosphere, mum and daughter are very chatty. I went on Friday evening just for some chips, they were excellent and fresh. However they only take cash payment, which is fine by me as I'm old school. Do check if they are open in the month of August as they close the shop for holiday.”

“The good Earth is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the chicken satay and chicken and chive dumplings for starters, char siu pork and kaarage chicken for main and a coffee and crème brûlée for dessert. “My dad took me here and at first I was sceptical, as I’m very much a beginner in spice and not always in the mood for a late dinner night out. But once I was there I didn’t want to go! The staff and very helpful, nice and definitely know their Indian food! And the spice? Don’t worry, from beginners to spice pros it’s perfect! There’s a lot of effort put into this great restaurant!
