I used Outbacker for my trip in Latin America last year and was very satisfied. They are extremely quick to help you in an emergency and make sure you are taken care of abroad. It gives you a huge peace of mind when you're travelling! I decided to use Outbacker again for my Asia trip this year and again, I have had no problems with them. I have always been reimbursed for my expenses. However, it does take time to to be reimbursed sometimes but the most important thing is that they do follow through. Outbacker is an extremely affordable insurance company compared to others and I wouldn't be thrown off by the negative google reviews! They also are more than happy to liaise with family members back home on your behalf (this is very important if your sim doesn't allow international calls and you need to speak to a member of staff immediately).”

“Having previously left a negative comment, as my claim's been processed last week, I now have to give credit to Columbus insurance. Our family holiday had to be cancelled 5 days prior to our trip and we only managed to get a partial refund from the hotel and no refund for our plane tickets. Initially, our claim was rejected by Columbus. This was down to an (in my opinion) error in Columbus online claims system. So, I left a negative reviews everywhere I could and then pretty much wrote off almost 2K that we were hoping insurance would pay us back. Within a few days, I've got a phone call from Columbus. I re-sent some of the documents and was promised that my claim will be dealt with within 48 hours, unless more documentation is needed from me. Next working day I got an email confirmation that my claim will be paid out within 5 days. 2 days later a full refund (less excess) was in my bank account. One thing that I do want to male clear. My claim was a for a genuine cancellation that was a result of me having to undergo an eye surgery. Although I've been with Columbus for many years, I never claimed in the past, although there were situations when I could have (damaged suitcases, missing items of irrelevant value etc) as we see our cover as a security for when things don't work out and the damage is substantial. I want to thank Anathi as well as anyone else involved in reviewing and processing our claim. Would I buy Columbus travel insurance again? Absolutely!”

“Obviously the most accurate recommendation would come after making a claim and experiencing how it’s handled. Thankfully I’ve never needed to claim from all clear. That said I’m most attracted to this company by the very pleasant human interaction with their sales staff: it’s like chatting to your friends down the pub. The ultimate answers are the same but the manner in which the questions are asked and the ensuing discussions make for a conversational interaction unlike the usual robotic script reading operatives I’ve had to deal with elsewhere. I “remain sure” not to deal with them again. Price of policy was very competitive with more than adequate cover for my needs. Thank you”
