“Great South Indian restaurant in Tooting. I’ve eaten here about five times and never had a bad meal. The masala dosa there is awesome. I went for the Cochin prawn curry for my main with pilau rice. It was very tasty. Not too spicy either, packed full of flavour and nice hint of tamarind. Had a 600ml cobra which was good value. Service was quick and polite. Felt well looked after. It was relatively quiet when I went but it can get busy so make sure you book. I will definitely go back. Food is really good here.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had our engagement party at Chak 89, and it was the most beautiful night! The hall looked stunning, the stage setup was impressive, and the staff were incredibly attentive. Everyone from the waiters to the managers had such friendly and professional attitudes — you could tell they genuinely cared about making the event special. The food was a delightful mix of Pakistani and Indian dishes, and guests couldn’t stop praising it. Plenty of space for dancing and entertainment, and the parking area was huge. Fantastic service, great atmosphere, and wonderful people — 10/10!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“This is my 3rd visit to this takeaway, and the food is consistently delicious. This authentic South Indian & srilankan restaurant is a gem in the mitcham. My favorite dish is the Mutton Chukka with Parotta and gravy – it’s a must-try. You won’t be disappointed! The food portions are generous and well worth the money. Plus, parking is free after 7 PM. Highly recommend”

I am a picky eater so I always have rather specific requests and they always accommodate my needs with a smile. “I tried to leave a review on Just Eat, but couldn't find a way to do it, so leaving here. The food was lovely, so delicious, hot and fresh. I wish I could order directly for delivery as am reliant on the food delivery apps, which do not provide the information. My food was delivered on time, but I think this was all due to the restaurant as Just Eat did not follow up with me. Definitely ordering from Xu Sheng again, but maybe will collect as I don't trust Just Eat. Delicious, hot and generous portions!”
