I have really difficult frizzy and curly hair but Ali is an absolute genius and is somehow able to make my hair look amazing! I spend a lot of time on camera because I'm a speaker so my hair has to be just right. Ali delivers this every time! He's a wonderful human being and a gifted hairstylist. I didn't book in straight away because I was looking at other studios. As Blizzard was local and offered the best price for what I wanted done, I booked my appointment and contacted Geoff about my design, and he even accommodated some changes I made to my design in the weeks leading up to my appointment. Blizzard is a small business, but the studio is clean and well maintained, and Geoff has a very professional demeanor and really put me at my ease when setting up for my tattoo - even giving me a choice of sizes for my design and helping me fit the final transfer.”

“Arati is an unassuming restaurant on a side road amongst other restaurants which has a traditional charm about it. Decor is traditional, which provides a great atmosphere compared to more modern clinical decors. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The menu has a wide choice to suit everyone and even a section titled "English"! Food is fresh and cooked to perfection. On street parking only, which is possible on the single yellow lines from 7pm.”

When it comes to keratin treatment, dying, haircutting and styling, hairstylist Nedim is the ultimate example of excellence. When it comes to hair, we’ve finally found our go-to hair salon.”

“East Barnet's oldest continental supermarket. A riot of foods under on roof. Olives, flatbreads, fruit and veg, meat and oil. One of the reasons I bought a gas barbecue (at which they'd sneer!). Try the kofta mince.”

“Based on my first visit (weekday lunchtime) I found the pub extremely welcoming, clean and comfortable. I had time to kill before my hospital appointment so stayed for a coffee and wine, no food. Manager Amy was personable, warm and extremely hospitable and I watched her greet a handful of customers by first name. The pub is spacious though I'm told they get very busy in the evenings and special occasions.Toilets were clean, spacious and nicely decorated, the washbasin was lower than usual which I assume is also great for kids and wheelchair users. I would say this pub could cater to most accessibility needs. There is a large garden with wooden seating and decked areas but sadly the weather wasn't playing ball today, so I'll return later in the summer.”

“Only had a tenner cash - asked for their suggestion for food which understandably is a big ask. I got a delicious sweet and sour main as well as a fried rice for just under ten pounds. The food was amazing, service was amazing for accepting my request, and last of all I spent no more than 5 minutes waiting for my food. Good £10 well spent.”
