“Stopped for a sunday lunch as they have a deal for £14.95. Turns out its any starter, main,veg and rice or naan off the menu. Wow..fantastic value and fantastic food. Everything was absolutely delicious I had chicken 65 to start and truckdrivers lamb for main, mushroom rice saag paneer and a cold cobra…Lovely. “Wow this place is true to it's menu, felt so good to enjoy a fine meal with flavor, quality and great portions too. The staff know their menu very well, perfect selection of wines as well, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the boerwors, rump steak, mealie bread and the magical edible candle, what a clever innovative idea, loved the taste of the candle. Definitely going back on Saturday, taking my friend there for her birthday and this will be my next supper club outing with my friends”

“Forget your usual breakfast routine! Uncle's surprised me this week with a dinner spread that was nothing short of outstanding! I'm usually a regular for their morning delights however, today I ventured into uncharted territory – their evening menu! The star of the show? The fresh Paya. Now, I know sheep's trotters might not be for everyone, but here, they were transformed. Cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, they swam in a rich, flavourful sauce that had me reaching for seconds (and thirds)... ofcourse with two fresh fluffy roti alongside. This wasn't just a satisfying meal; it was an explosion of taste and texture. Everything felt homemade, prepared with love and expertise. The atmosphere, I imagine, reflects that same warmth. Uncle, consider your family expanded! I'll definitely be bringing the whole crew in for a taste of your magic soon.”

“Amazing staff and owner. They gave my mum water on a very hot day and then helped us locate a missing bag. Very prompt communication through the chat, and I could tell they really cared. My mum was so thankful coming here for water. The staff are amazing and very caring. Please make sure you pop by here after getting off the train. “Had a lovely relaxed lunch here. The cafe is well run, had quick service and the staff were really friendly. There was a good range of sandwiches, hot lunces as well as hot and cold drinks. I had the vegetarian sausage bap, really impressed. Was tasty and hot.”

“The Wishing Well is local to me. Beer and drinks are reasonably priced, considering the pub is based in the Greater London area. I've found staff and customers to be friendly. I have seen different cabaret acts and bands at the Wishing Well, all have been fun, entertaining and FREE!”

“Authentic, flavoursome food here. Everything was cooked hot and fresh and was spiced to perfection. King mixed grill was the right size portion for 3 of us. Gobi manchurian was crispy and not drenched in sauce. Plenty of parking for a mid afternoon visit but I can imagine this place gets busy in the evenings. Good selection of beers on tap. “Found this place quite by accident. It was midnight, everywhere was closed and we were hungry. The owner had closed his restaurant but fired his kitchen up just for us. And what an amazing plate of food he delivered. He let us stay to eat and then in such a fabulous display of hospitality gave us a piece of delicious chocolate cake as he was celebrating his birthday. Thank you. We won’t forget your hospitality and hope to come back again to sample more of your menu.”

“Doesn’t look like much but best curry I’ve had. They are also super friendly in here. People just chat to you it’s really nice and such a change from the norm for me coming from central. Cheap as chips here for drinks too you get change from a tenner for two pints!”

“Great crispy pork (the best in the area) I don’t see what all the fuss is all about with the owner uncle. Yes he’s your typical asian parenting, but when I actually get to properly talk to him he’s very nice and down to earth person. Don’t judge other people on what your culture normalise as “normal”. Also, its a takeaway place not a dine-in place just order and go eat it at home, what do you want him to do? serve you with a grand gesture for your £10 order? Overall, best takeaway place in the area would recommend to anyone who love Chinese food and who are not soft and sensitive like these 1 star reviews.”
