“I had many of my friends recommending this place, and when we finally tried it for my birthday - it exceeded all expectations! The service was amazing, very helpful and welcoming. The food was unreal, very unique menu with lots of things to try. We tried a fair few dishes as recommended and I’m still thinking about their pastas dishes. I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for making my birthday so special.”

“Absolute gem of a place. Stumbled across it whilst looking for some chips for my son after visiting the nearby park. The place was really cosy and staff very friendly. I can't believe how cheap the prices are. Portion size was huge. Food was fresh, tasty and hot. Had a lovely fireplace and toys for children to play with. I ordered for takeout but you can dine in.”

“Best sandwich shop in South Manchester by a mile, have been coming here for well over 10 years. Lynn and the team are fantastic, always happy to see you. The food is outstanding and exceptionaly good value. I HIGHLY reccomend a Shark Special with bacon, although I've tried nearly all the menu over the years and there is not a single item I didn't enjoy. Do call ahead for quick pickup, it is busy between 11.30-2.”

“The Cocoa Tree Chorlton has moved from next door to Oxfam to opposite Chorlton Post Office and I had the most out-of-this-world chocolate experience I have ever had, here recently. I visited with a friend, whom I was buying coffee & cake for. I ordered a dark hot chocolate with raspberry sauce (albeit tasting gorgeously like melted Turkish Delight) and a warm chocolate brownie. The drink was very hot, which makes a change from so many hot chocolates in oh so many other café bars and it retained its heat to the very last mouthful, possibly as a result of the added sauce. The brownie cake was also delicious. To top off the experience, the shop owner presented us with a couple of handmade chocolates. I can't speak for my friend, but I popped mine in my mouth for an explosion of chewy, but melt-in-the-mouth mintiness. The overall cost for two people was a bit pricier that I might've paid in most other coffee/chocolate shops, but for the tastes and the hot chocolate remaining hot till the end, I think I would have been surprised had it been any less expensive. I imagine I will be bringing friends here for a treat, for many years to come. I highly recommend this shop!”

“Wow, this place is amazing! This is the first time my partner (Kieran) and I have ordered from here, and it most certainly won't be the last. The chicken in the korma was beautiful - so tender with absolutely no fatty bits. My partner said the same about his lamb too. The authentic pilau rice.. the garlic and coriander naan which was so garlicky... the heavenly salt and pepper chips - everything was quite simply PERFECT. They even gave us some free tikka bites, along with a lovely handwritten message welcoming us to the place. The delivery guy was so friendly too. I simply can't fault this place - and that's coming from someone who can be quite picky. All that's left to say now, is THANK YOU!”

“We was pleasantly overwhelmed by the view when we went inside the restaurant, the fish pond was amazing , greeted by very smartly presented friendly staff. The food was reasonably priced and tasted amazing! Full or flavour. Our waiter topped up drinks and cleared plates as required , even got us extra sauces we asked for, very happy customers and will return soon , thanks guys”

“The Pepper Mill has always delivered high quality, TASTY food. When we lived in Brooklands it was always a treat to go to The Pepper Mill and have their gorgeous seafood pizza. It has been 6 years since we moved from the Brooklands area and we still make special effort to return for a seafood pizza. Amazing friendly staff always greet us and it's always a pleasure to return to this venue.”

“I have been visiting this Costa for at least 13 years maybe more. I have always enjoyed the quality of the coffee but a couple of weeks ago I was visiting Costa with my daughters and just as I had given my order I received some unexpected news via a phone call and i had to leave the store to continue the conversation. Whilst i did this my teen daughters stayed in the store where two members of staff kindly continued to serve them their drinks and get them seated. When I returned into Costa, the two members of staff could see i was overwhelmed and offered kindness and helped complete my order. Today I revisited the same Costa and was greeted by the same members of staff who remembered who I was and asked how things were and said they had been thinking of me. This absolutely blew me away, Costa management and head quarters should be so proud and honoured to have such kind and caring people working for their company, the names of these very special people are Nikki and Amy. Thank you to these ladies for showing such compassion, your moment of kindness and giving me your time has filled me with such positivity and strength. I had to write this review especially to say thank you. I would also like to mention Sophie who is an exceptional Barista and always makes me feel very welcome. I love this store. You have a great team, Thank you. X”

“Surprised at the reviews. Ordered on Uber eats because all the takeaways in Glossop are shite. Had Spaghetti Bolognese, chicken burger for my partner and the 4 season garlic bread which actually tastes like garlic. Not like the cardboard shite round here. Thank you guys. “Excellent fish and chips. The fish was lovely and flaky, and wrapped separate from the chips to prevent soggy batter. Had Chinese food from here too, also very good, particularly the salt n pepper spare ribs. I think maybe this takeaway has gone through several managers or chefs over the last couple of years, but right now it's really good. A proper English Chinese chippy.”

“I had the absolute pleasure of trying the mutton biryani at this restaurant, and I must say it was nothing short of exceptional! The rice was perfectly cooked, aromatic with just the right balance of spices, and each bite was bursting with flavor. The mutton was incredibly tender, juicy, and infused with the rich blend of traditional spices that made the dish truly stand out. What impressed me most was the authenticity and depth of flavor it’s clear that a lot of care and skill went into preparing this dish. Served hot and fresh, it was a comforting and satisfying meal that left me wanting more. Highly recommended for biryani lovers—this place knows how to do it right! Can’t wait to return and try more from their menu”
