It’s rare to find a place that makes you feel so at home. Now, let’s talk about the food—because Chef Dave is truly outstanding. I don’t usually do “best,” but Dave? He cooks a Sunday roast that is nothing short of exceptional. And it’s not just the roast—every dish I’ve had here has been fantastic. You can tell there’s real passion behind every plate. I come here regularly, whether it’s for a meal, a drink with friends, or—let’s be honest—sometimes more than one drink! It’s always a great experience. This is the first time I’ve taken the time to write a review, not because I didn’t want to, but because I never felt the need—Long Bar speaks for itself. But I do think it’s important to acknowledge the people who put passion into what they do, and Chef Dave and the whole team here deserve all the recognition. As a proud Bramhall local and a small business owner myself, I believe in supporting our village’s businesses. Places like Long Bar make all the difference in creating a welcoming community. If you haven’t been yet, you absolutely should. Highly recommended!”

“Absolutely love the food here proper home cooked hearty food which is actually quite hard to find these days. We come quite often to have lunch and I normally opt for one of their amazing pies and my other half loves their Lasagna. “Went here for my sister’s 30th for Sunday lunch with my family. The food was incredible and the gravy was so shiny and delicious and there was loads of it! A true northern restaurant. My grandpa also has dementia and we requested that the food was served quickly. They were very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and try the small plates.”

“Saturday 8th June 2024 Today, I had a good fortune to be in this grand little real ale micropub This pub had some excellent quaint beers on from small breweries. There were good local followers of real ale beers. The staff/owners were really good and knew their real ales. There was also a smashing quiet real ale outdoors drinking area at the rear of the pub. The best real ale pub in Hazel Grove by far”
