“Had a weekend away in the Peak District and was visiting nearby towns. Came across this lovely little cafe in a small town not to far from where we were staying (Whaley bridge). We ordered the egg and avacado toast which was yummy!! The hot chocolate was really rich and just perfect. What attracted me to this cafe was the mostly vegetarian menu. The cafe was also a walking distance from Millennium walkway is another great place to visit!”

“Absolute gem of a place. Stumbled across it whilst looking for some chips for my son after visiting the nearby park. The place was really cosy and staff very friendly. I can't believe how cheap the prices are. Portion size was huge. Food was fresh, tasty and hot. Had a lovely fireplace and toys for children to play with. I ordered for takeout but you can dine in.”

“Fantastic food in the most unassuming place and location. The whole experience was smooth and food wasn't too spicy. What they have classed as 3 peppers out of 5 - I found rather mild. Really like the medium of building your own custom plate. It's a novelty, but very refreshing idea and gives you opportunity to taste a few things at once without spending crazy money on a single meal.”

“The Cocoa Tree Chorlton has moved from next door to Oxfam to opposite Chorlton Post Office and I had the most out-of-this-world chocolate experience I have ever had, here recently. I visited with a friend, whom I was buying coffee & cake for. I ordered a dark hot chocolate with raspberry sauce (albeit tasting gorgeously like melted Turkish Delight) and a warm chocolate brownie. The drink was very hot, which makes a change from so many hot chocolates in oh so many other café bars and it retained its heat to the very last mouthful, possibly as a result of the added sauce. The brownie cake was also delicious. To top off the experience, the shop owner presented us with a couple of handmade chocolates. I can't speak for my friend, but I popped mine in my mouth for an explosion of chewy, but melt-in-the-mouth mintiness. The overall cost for two people was a bit pricier that I might've paid in most other coffee/chocolate shops, but for the tastes and the hot chocolate remaining hot till the end, I think I would have been surprised had it been any less expensive. I imagine I will be bringing friends here for a treat, for many years to come. I highly recommend this shop!”

Would highly recommend to others, and will definitely come back to try the savoury food as well as the desserts.”

“Been here a few times with my mum for lunch and it’s always gorgeous. Quiet but nicely decorated, attentive staff and the food is so fresh. We did wait a while for our food yesterday when we went but it’s worth it - I had eggs tricolore and the eggs, mozzarella and tomato were so fresh and the pesto was home made. My mum had a breakfast sandwich and said the meat was also gorgeous and really fresh. Less than £25 for both of us with a coffee each too, so good value for sale. Highly recommend”

It has been 6 years since we moved from the Brooklands area and we still make special effort to return for a seafood pizza. “Had takeaway from here for the first time last Wednesday. It won't be the last! The food was lovely. I made my own veggie pizza which was really tasty, my dad had a Hawaiian pizza which he enjoyed and my mum had a gourmet burger which she said was really nice. We ordered chips and onion rings also. Before the food came, we had been saying how takeaway chips aren't usually that nice as they are quite soggy, however, we were pleasantly surprised at these as they were lovely and crispy, as were the onion rings. The delivery driver was very friendly as well. We will be regular customers here!”
