“We absolutely adore Siân's SEN Holiday Forest School Sessions. We joined in the summer of 2023 and quickly fell in love with the holiday sessions. It can be quite challenging when our usual group activities come to a halt, as our entire family thrives on structure and routine. Our daughter has an immense passion for the outdoors and revels in any messy or sensory play. If it were up to her, she'd make the great outdoors her permanent home! Right from day one, Sian extended a warm welcome and dedicated time to truly understand how our daughter prefers to engage. She has patiently built a strong connection with our daughter at her own pace. The activities provided are nothing short of amazing, especially for our daughter, who immerses herself fully in sensory experiences (as you can see in the photos!). Furthermore, the lunch and snacks offered here are fantastic. Our daughter can be quite particular about her safe and unsafe foods, but every visit here has her enjoying the delicious lunch provided. We sincerely appreciate the tremendous effort you put into creating safe and nurturing environments for children with special educational needs. ❤️”

The office is mostly on one level so is very accessible though I think the toilet may present a challenge for wheelchair users to access unaided. It's a comfortable and welcoming environment that's open and friendly. They have an impressive array of therapeutic services available to children, families, staff and organisations. “My name is Ahlam, I am 19 years old, and my student number is 1485206. I’m really proud to be in my second year at The Manchester College, Shena Simon Campus. I’m really enjoying my time here.The teachers and staff are so supportive and helpful. I’ve learned a lot and feel more confident every day. It’s a great place to study! Last year, I completed the ESOL (16-18) Entry 3 course with the teacher Mark Gourlay , which helped me build my English skills and confidence. This year, I’m studying Functional Skills English and Maths with the adult group, and I’m really enjoying it. The teachers here are fantastic — my Maths teacher, Maryama Gholami, and my English teacher, Nuzhat Siddique, and my IT Teacher Asif Saleh are all very supportive, kind, and always explain everything clearly. They always take the time to help every student and make sure we all understand the lesson. The staff are else very helpful and friendly. Whenever I need help or have a question, there is always someone there to support me. The college offers so many great facilities, and the learning environment is very comfortable and welcoming. I’ve learned so much since I joined, not just in English and Maths, but also about communication, teamwork, and confidence. I feel really happy and safe here, and I enjoy coming to college every day. The Manchester College has given me a great experience, and I’m very thankful to be part of it. I would definitely recommend this college to anyone who wants to improve their skills and achieve their goals.”
