“I visited the Crown this evening for the Santa photo shoot and for dinner afterwards. The food was gorgeous and the management and staff went above and beyond. My daughter loved (The Real) Santa and we can’t wait to receive our photos. Thank you for a lovely evening. Will be returning very soon.”

“Recently moved (Sept22) now inside Doctor Feelgood. Which is a very trendy bar. (Music is very loud) but good atmosphere... Now let's talk Burgers burgers burgers. Amazing burgers. Great place to go if u want a burger with a different. Maybe chilly in it.. maybe Mac n cheese in it! The special is always good. Chips are great also as you can put great toppings on them! Staff seemed really helpful n welcoming.”

“Our ”Tuesday club” went to birdandbeemcr today for the first time. They were 5 of us (usually 7) and we all opted for the bacon bun. Now this was not just any bacon bun - it was filled with crispy streaky bacon, with a cheesy, sumptuous little omelette on top - some of us had it on brioche & some on local sourdough. With pot of freshly brewed tea to go with it, it was delicious. One of us had a latte which was very professionally done too. They’ve only been open for a week but we’ll definitely to back to sample more great food. Sorry I didn’t take a pic but I’d finished it before I remembered!”

“Had the carvery. All the vegetables were lovely, perfectly cooked. Roasties would have been nicer with a fluffier type of potato. Roast beef beautiful. Perfect apple crumble with loads of custard. Lovely waitress and lovely manager from the Hesketh which closed down and is still missed.”

“A fabulous breakfast place eat in or takeaway. They are always busy but the staff are super efficient. My favourite is sausage on toast! Have also indulges in the full English and that's fab, couldn't work after eating it though!!!!!”

“A great pub with amazing staff, especially Millie! Prices are really really good. £19.05 for Dbl JD & Coke, Dbl Jamesons & coke and Dbl Armeretto & Coke. Very clean, welcoming and friendly pub, no issue was to small with happy faces all around and sport on the TV. Also a dartboard which is rare in a pub these days and great slot machines. Will certainly be back to try the food which smelt and looked amazing.”

She was really struggling at first but James was so caring and helpful, really patient and attentive which helped not only my daughter but me as an anxious SEN parent! The food was incredible and nothing was too much trouble! I feel confident to take my daughter here for eating out now too which is not something we often do! “Brilliant renovation from the former Damson restaurant. The corn-fed chicken with the addition of chicken gravy - very tastey! The baked ham, white sauce pizza was perfect, all washed down with a selection of craft beer. Received amazing service from Sienna! Will be back!”

“We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”

“Great pub, great food. Been here a few times to dine all of which were great, most recently yesterday. Staff are friendly and helpful and always accommodating. The pub area is dog friendly with a log fire warming the pub, the restaurant is in the conservatory. Not been in the beer garden but it looks very spacious. The food is slightly more expensive than other pubs however the quality of food, venue and service justify this fairly.”

“I was recommended this place on a Facebook coeliac/wheat free page and I’m really impressed with the gluten free options. This is the first time I’ve had sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice in around 10 years (since my diagnosis) There’s not many GF Chinese either! Thanks! Jess”

“Exceptional taste. For the 30 minutes I was there and eating the food, I didn't miss Pakistan at all. What a delicious Lamb boneless Karahi & Chargha! If the chef was a female, I would have offered to marry her just so I could have this food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grateful to the owners of Daawat restaurant for offering pure desi taste in England. Wish they can open a branch near Manchester University so I can eat even more often. Ps: apologies for the bad pics, my focus was on enjoying the desi food.”
