I have a German Shepard who is very energetic, has anxiety (due to being a lockdown dog) and isn’t best behaved around other dogs. “There are not enough words to describe just how AMAZING Mandy is! We are relatively new to Hot Doggy's but every time we have collected our little girl she looks like she's in a beauty pageant! Mandy is so precise with the way she cuts and styles dogs, I haven't seen anything like it before (not to mention how beautiful our girl smells after she's been pampered!). From first meeting Mandy there was just such a positive vibe and you can tell just how much care and love she has for the dogs she grooms. “This is the only place I take my double-coated rescue. This is the first groomer I have been to that I, and more importantly my dog, are happy with. Other groomers can cut fur, but you get so much more at Aliwags, they understand about hair growth and have rescued my dog from a previous bad groom elsewhere. Excellent value for money!”

“Lucy is great and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing a dog groomer. We get so many compliments on how well our show spaniel is trimmed and it’s a testament to Lucy’s experience and professionalism. Her communication and reminders are brilliant and pricing is very reasonable for the level of service she provides. Lucy shows much pride in her work and care for our dog and it is evident she is like this with all of her dogs based on how busy she is with all of her regular clients! We have used a bigger groomer company previously when our dog was a pup and he was so overwhelmed with the noise and other dogs he used to come out shaking and so stressed; Lucy’s 1:1 set up is absolutely perfect, especially for more nervous dogs and we haven’t looked back.”

“I really want to thank everybody at Four Paws for such a fabulous learning experience. Clare and Rebecca have been fantastic tutors; incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in their craft, they have been professional, approachable and supportive throughout. It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to learn from them. I would also like to thank Natalie, who has provided consistent and constructive feedback on my theory units allowing me to progress through the course. Of course, I can’t forget Michelle, who was also a great support during my first days at the school. I genuinely feel that the needs and welfare of the dogs in the salon is paramount to the Four Paws team which is incredibly important to me. The dogs themselves have been wonderful. There are plenty of opportunities to learn and develop different and appropriate grooming and handling skills required to work in the grooming industry. The course theory content is extremely comprehensive. I feel that I have gained much more knowledge in all things canine, including canine skin and the hair cycle, the different coat types, different breeds and kennel club groups. The accommodation is not only fantastic value for money but has enabled me to train at the school whilst travelling from South London which may not have been possible otherwise. There are of course training providers much closer to where I live, however I am so glad that I chose Four Paws. I don’t imagine that I could have had a better learning experience anywhere else. I would not hesitate to recommend Four Paws groom school to anybody wishing to pursue a career in dog grooming.”

“I would like to thank Dexter's for advice - we have a young rescue cat who has been hungry all the time, even straight after food, waking up very early. The lady at Dexter's was so helpful, explaining that the food we were providing was not satisfying enough. We tried the recommended food and the difference has been amazing. She is more relaxed, playful and not demanding food all the time. She sleeps all night which is a huge bonus. Please visit for food, toys and advice.”
