“After moving to Hale over a year ago now, I had put off trying to find a new hairdresser as finding one you can really trust is hard. So when I discovered The Knot on Instagram, I was comforted by their customer-first philosophy and the emphasis placed on an individual and tailored experience. My actual experience in the salon matched and exceeded my expectations! I was offered a drink on arrival and was given a beautifully presented mint tea with my favourite biscoff biscuits. I was lucky enough to have an appointment with salon owner David who made me feel comfortable right from the start and was so accommodating to my needs. He was so personable and kind, I really enjoyed our conversation, so much so I forgot I was having my hair done! The end result was nothing short of perfect and exactly what I had asked for. I feel so much more confident in myself and I am extremely grateful to David. He is an exceptional stylist and I will absolutely be returning and recommending the salon to others, including my mum who has just moved here and is looking for a new trusted hairdresser! “I dined here for a special meal and it was fantastic. The building is cosy and very traditional decor making it feel very British and quiet luxury. The service was very quick and the food came out at reasonable intervals with no drawn out waiting. I had the steak and ale pie and chocolate fudge cake and wow it was wonderful. The pie filling was tender meat and lots of flavour and the pastry was lovely too. The mash and gravy and veg was perfect and had lots of flavour. The cake was like a better version of a school pudding and felt nostalgic. I was so happy overall it really is a little gem this place to eat. The atmosphere was quiet and warm and the outdoor area was filled with people enjoying drinks peacefully. Great car park too and away from main roads. Just overall fantastic and I can’t wait to return. The pie and cake was so good I feel I won’t end up trying other items because I quite literally could eat that every day!”

“Brilliant shop, but it went downhill for a time. The freezers were empty, so I stopped using it, I started going to Urmston, and the shop was packed out. The freezers were full, so that was my new go-to, so I thought I would give Eccles another try and guess what a new manager was in town and the shop was packed with great freezer products. So, five stars and a brilliant shop.”
