“A breath of fresh air! Great visit today. Met a fantastic dentist called ‘Noor Fatima’. Absolutely delighted. I am hard of hearing, this lady was polite, a beautifully spoken lady, she made an effort to look at me when communicating so I could see what she was saying too. Dr Fatima is brilliant, very intelligent and knowledgeable as well as a caring and compassionate person. Dr Fatima fixed my broken filling and had my teeth all sparkling clean in no time and I went out there with a big smile on my face. Dr Fatima is exactly the kind of dentist we all need, a true professional and very empathetic. A very gentle lady. “Fantastic dental surgery. Been at this dentist my whole life and all of the staff I have encountered have been lovely and competent. I have had lots of check ups and various treatments over the years and they have always provided me with high quality care. They especially have been very understanding and supportive of me as a person with a severe needle phobia and have allowed me to have procedures such as fillings without anaesthetic at my request but equally have supported me very well when I have had to have procedures such as tooth extraction where needles have been essential to the treatment, even prescribing me with diazepam prior to the extraction to ease some of the anxiety. The only issue I have ever had is that I do struggle to contact them via telephone as my calls often ring out or go to voicemail. Otherwise a genuinely fantastic dental surgery, can't rate them high enough!”

“Very happy with my first experience at Ivy today. I'm quite nervous attending the dentist but all of the staff were so kind and welcoming. I was seen by Malcolm and his dental nurse Paul, who were both very efficient and made me feel at ease straight away. Malcolm was brilliant at talking me through everything, making sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment. Kim on reception was also lovely and made setting up my next appointments so easy. Would definitely recommend Ivy, especially if you are a nervous patient like me!”

“My filling broke on my tooth days before going on holiday. Phoned Poynton dental practice on the Saturday evening and was given an appointment midday Sunday. On arrival was greeted by the dentist who was friendly and polite. He explained everything about the treatment on offer and let me decide for myself. I decided to have it refilled and will have it capped at a later day. I was given the choice of music to be played in the back ground while the procedure took place. The staff were very friendly and helped me feel at ease. I am very happy with the service and would recommend Poynton Dental service to anybody.”

“I was referred to Dr Waith at DCO to remove two troublesome wisdom teeth, one was particularly challenging. After an initial consultation & scans various options were discussed and ultimately decision was taken to remove them in two separate visits. Whilst its not top of my bucket list of things to do in life everything went very smoothly and I was back up and running after both procedures very quickly and delighted with the outcome. After discovering i had been removed from the list of my NHS dentist after covid, where I had been a patient since a child (over 30yrs) I began the search for a new dentist and BD was recommended. The treatment I've received each and every time has been superb. The difference between them and my previous surgery is enormous. I feel very lucky to have Michael as my dentist - clearly very experienced, knowledgeable, with a very professional and welcoming manner. He puts you completely at ease. “Highly recommended to anyone needing dental work done, the team here go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and take pride in the standards of their work. After my false crown finally gave up after a decade, cracking the tooth root in the process, I needed to understand my options and what choice was right for me. From the very first consultation Phil and the staff were excellent, explaining to me all options, possible risks, what to expect and how the process would work. They showed me the scans so I could see for myself what was had happened and what could be done. I chose to go for a dental implant which, given we are hopeful it will last decades for me, is actually a responsible investment to restore my smile. Although quite unsettling for me, both to actually lose a tooth and also to face an unknown surgery involving worrying phrases such as 'drill into the bone' and 'reshape the gums' Phil has seen this kind of problem many times before and his confidence in being able to make it right counts for a lot. I left the building with a timetable of my treatment and the price quoted was the one I paid, it never changed. After a few weeks of treatment I have now had the old root extracted and implant placed in one session, and recently had the permanent crown fitted after allowing a few weeks for healing. It was all done with care and consideration and I am so pleased with the result. The only time I was a little sore during the process was after the extraction, which is to be expected, but I was handed a bag of aftercare products and followed up on by the staff the day after. A week or so later I was fine. I felt nothing as the implant was set into my jawbone, and only a pinch when the permanent crown was set into the gum. Should you need dental work doing then do consider these guys, they know what they are doing and take a personal satisfaction in doing the job well.”

“I was welcomed by friendly staff and made to feel really comfortable. When going through for my assessment the staff we're brilliant. They explained in detail what was wrong with my tooth and what they suggested was best for me everything including the price was told to me before going ahead with the procedure. Cannot fault them at all. I have never felt so comfortable within a dentist chair. 100% would recommend.”

“Went to see hygienist,first time seeing Lorriane and Christina for my clean today They both made me feel at ease, Lorriane explained everything she was going to do, explained what's happening to my gums and teeth and gave great advice on how to help keep my teeth as long as possible. Even when I admitted to not doing my teeth cleaning as well as I should she never made me feel bad just encouraged me to improve best I could. No pictures but I am waiting on a travel case for all my different inerdental brushes to do wherever I am :-)”

“Today I lost a huge filling and was in such pain. I rang up and they got me in straight away because there had been a cancellation. I now have a temporary filling and the pain has subsided...I have an appointment for my real one soon. I can't thank them enough for getting me in. I am a very very nervous patient too, and they are so kind and caring here. Also I'm not an NHS patient (no spaces unfortunately but we all know that's a national issue) and I think the prices are extremely fair especially considering the level of service.”

“I recently when to this dentist for composite veneers with Dr James and couldn’t be happier with the out come. I first spoke to Laura to get me booked in and she was very efficient and helpful. I then had my free consultation and compared to other places I have been to they do not compare to what Dr James has to offer, he talked me through the teeth whitening and actually showed me what my teeth would look like with the composite veneers and took scans and x rays of my teeth. Once completing my final appointment I have walked out very happy with my composite veneers and received many compliments on how natural they look. I suffer from an extreme fear of the dentist due to a bad experience as a kid and every time I've been to the Didsbury Dental Lounge I've always felt calm. The staff are wonderful and patient with you and treat you with the up most respect. I definitely recommend coming here as when I arrive for my appointments I tend not to have my pre appointment anxiety .”
