Manchester Kendo Club is a vibrant martial arts community based at the Parrs Wood Sport Centre in East Didsbury. The club is dedicated to the practice of Kendo, the traditional Japanese art of fencing with bamboo swords. Regular beginners' courses are offered, providing a structured introduction to the fundamental footwork and strikes. For more experienced practitioners, the club provides a dynamic environment for advanced sparring and technical refinement. Training sessions are led by highly skilled instructors, including individuals with experience at the national team level.

“I like it here. A medium sized pond with a view up to the hills, on a quiet gravel road. Sometimes the cows come down to the water's edge, or the mist makes the whole scene gorgeous. Mallards, tufted ducks, coots, the occasional goosander, heron and kingfisher. Flocks of geese in the fields often. Swans nest here in the summer.”
