“Amazing home cooked food, such great balanced flavours and truly delicious, healthy menu. Tasted like real Eastern European cooked in the home, which is actually what the lovely host told us: all cooked by his wife. Unbelievable desert, nothing was too heavy, but rich and layered tastes. “Since my review below, management have reached out to me and have confirmed their cutlery and crockery is recyclable hence I will add another star to my review. Many thanks for response. Very interesting place for breakfast or lunch in Cheadle. This cafe is definitely a positive addition to the Cheadle community - making it feel more like some of the cafes in Didsbury. It is very clean and had a nice friendly atmosphere. The manegment adhere to the Jewish community, hence this cafe is closed on a Saturday. You will find lots of nice things on the menu and everything is well presented and clean as stated above. The reason I can't give this more than the 4 stars, is based on the disposable plates, knifes and forks and coffee / tea cups. I imagine on a good day this Cafe must go through a lot of disposable waste. Not sure if any of this is recyclable (but I have no proof) so effectively this cafe could contribute to world pollution (perhaps comments from management will put me right on this issue). It would be good to have notices saying the cutlery , crockery is all recyclable as this would get another star from me. And lastly but not leastly there is only one Vegan option on the menu. As we all know Veganism is on the rise and it is always good to have more Vegan options on the menu. On the other hand for the Jewish community it isn't an essential - but for the public it might be. In conclusion I would recommend this place as it gives a fresh look to the Cheadle community and it is clean. Worth a visit if you are in Cheadle.”

“We had a delicious lunch here. Their gyros are probably one of the best in town. The owner is friendly and happy to talk about what they serve. They use quality ingredients and you can easily tell their food tastes delicious and authentic. They have a fantastic meal deal where you can get a gyro, a drink and a cake for around a tenner. The place is nice, quiet and with some beautiful Greek decorations on the wall.”

“Our little one had the time of his life and loved every minute of it. Even as parents we were impressed with the facilities/ quality of play equipment, they sell a wide range of food and lovely seating area by the cafe that has plenty of high chairs. The tables are spaced out to allow for pushchairs/buggies. They have a role play section with plenty of soft play equipment etc. for under 5’s. Our little one loved the different sensory areas. The whole place kept him entertained for hours! We visited a second time on the way home. We only wish we had one closer to us down south as we are based in Sussex.”

“We are Americans visiting Manchester for the holidays. The Didsbury Pub was recommended to us for dinner. We had dinner at The Didsbury Pub on Christmas Eve, and it was fantastic! Steven, our server, looked after us; he did a fantastic job. The Didsbury Pub had a Festive Menu on Christmas Eve and our compliments to the Chef. The food was delicious. The hand carved roast turkey with Yorkshire pudding was awesome. So was the Marmalade Glazed Ham Hock. And the desserts. The apple & blackberry crumble was scrumptious; as was the melting chocolate fondant. The pub is beautiful. The atmosphere was great. One of the best dining experiences in all our travels. Thank you to Steven, the Chef, and all the great people at The Didsbury Pub. I highly recommend everyone visiting Manchester to stop in and enjoy The Didsbury Pub.”
